About Moonstone Tavern - A Fantasy Tavern Sim!
With the death of your eccentric aunt, you have been left the once famous Moonstone Tavern. Unfortunately the tavern has seen better days. With only two functioning rooms, crumbling architecture, and an ever-diminishing reputation there is plenty of room for improvement.
Can you turn this dilapidated ruin into a thriving business? In a fantasy world filled with cunning wizards, tricky elves, cat obsessed gnomes, grumpy dwarves, and sad fairies it certainly isn’t going to be easy, especially if you want them all to stay happy under one roof. If you are going to make a go of it there is a lot to do: staff to hire, meals to cook, ingredients to forage, quests to undertake, and gods to appease. Yet if you can survive the brutal world that surrounds you there is definitely a profit to be made!
FEATURES:
• Repair, renovate, and decorate the dilapidated tavern.
• Build specialist rooms for humans, elves, fairies, gnomes, orcs, and dwarves.
• Build undersea 'beds' for the Merfolk!
• Hire cooks, priests, foragers, and heroes to help improve your tavern.
• Forage hundreds of real world items.
• Craft hundreds of items including weapons, armours, potions, scrolls, and genetimage equipment.
• Collect and breed over 50 colletable creatures to keep as pets.
• Find and ride the mystical, pink unipony!
• Interact with hundreds of unique guests with stories, rumours, and suggestions for your tavern!
• Assemble a team of heroes and mages to help you on adventures.
• Choose from 10 starting characters and from six different fantasy class types including druid, witch hunter, and gunlord.
• An involved weapon and magic system with wands, swords, guns, and spells!
• Settle into your new life by getting married and having a child.
• Invest in the local Arena - watch battles and bet on fights.
• Dynamic seasons with day and night system.
• Undertake quests to improve your tavern’s renown, find paintings to hang and specialist food to serve. Raid the castles of dark mages for supplies, loot dragon hordes for gold, and seek out lost shrines to please the gods.
• Explore a handcrafted world and visit the undercity of the gnomes, a bustling human port, and the dark village of the elves.
• Choose a god to worship and gain special powers and bonuses for your tavern.
• Take part in a non-compulsory, rpg storyline that will place you and your tavern at the centre of a plague, and amidst a magical war that threatens to overcome the three kingdoms!

RPG Maker strikes again! Moonstone Tavern - A Fantasy Tavern Sim! is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. While the premise of this RPG Maker asset flip is that you run a tavern, that's not exactly what it's about, you run dungeons to progress in the game, and they're terribly, horribly unbalanced. If you die, you suffer a permanent HP loss that you can't recover... the game design here just sucks completely. It's a pretty incredible achievment to be worse than most RPG Maker asset flips, which in turn are some of the worst things on Steam, but here we are. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Make…4 found this helpful
I can understand some of the bad reviews. Personally, I have fun playing the game. I just played about 10 hours and will play some more until my tavern is in better shape. Sure, it was bumpy at first, but I am a perfectionist, so the first round (a few in-game days) is always to learn the basics and some strategies to make it better on the second start. Some feedback to the bad reviews or advice for potential new players: After "get the barkeeper back"-quest and getting some silver coins from the cat: go to the stables and rebuild the fountain, the familiars will learn the spell "heal". The familiar will use it automatically on you both or you can press the button "4" to activate heal (unlimited), just to be sure. You won't die anymore on "easy" quests. Hire a basic cook for human meals and try to get a standard egg. With standard familiars, you can clear "medium" quests and with rare familiars "hard" quests" (though I have to press "4" repeatedly). I didn't get very rare yet, but that's for "impossible" quests. If the familiar gets stuck somewhere, press "1" to call it back to you. It get's stuck if it can't reach the focused enemy on the other side, if you are too fast or somet…3 found this helpful

time moves very fast, there is no real point to the game? the tavern runs itself after you get a cook, there is no point in upgrading the tavern other that the arena rooms. the fight are easy when you repair the houses for the adventurers, to the point you don't need a weapon as you have 6 or 7 party member, 4 adventurers, 1 dark beast, 1 pet, and one offspring. your role is to go gather stuff for the cooks so you can pay tax's, that's it. its a mobile game really and a unfinished one at that1 found this helpful
Moonstone Tavern: A Fantasy Tavern Sim is an engaging hybrid of tavern management, role-playing, crafting, and exploration that invites players to restore a neglected inn to its former prestige. Developed and published by Trevor Jones, the game revolves around inheriting the rundown Moonstone Tavern from a quirky relative and transforming it into a thriving destination for travelers, adventurers, and townsfolk. Rather than limiting itself to business management alone, the experience expands into a fantasy adventure where nearly every activity contributes to the tavern's long-term success. This combination of genres gives the game a distinctive identity, offering players far more than the typical management simulator. At its core, the game revolves around rebuilding and expanding the tavern through careful planning and resource management. Players begin with only a small, deteriorating establishment that requires extensive repairs and upgrades before it can attract larger crowds. Profits earned from renting rooms, serving guests, and improving customer satisfaction can be reinvested into expanding the building, decorating interiors, and unlocking new amenities. Watching the humble …
