About Neon Pulsefire
Neon Pulsefire is a fast-paced roguelite bullet heaven with a huge variety of build options and a ton of unlockable meta-progression. Combine unique classes, passives, weapons and stats to approach every run in a different way.Defeat as many enemies as you can in each floor combining unique passives with up to three auto-firing weapons at a time. Level up, collect Neon and buy items from the shop in between waves, creating unique and interesting builds. Difficulty modifiers introduce new mechanics and enemies to keep challenging you on higher tiers.Features:

If you are a fan of the genre, do not pass this one up. The hit boxes are precise enough to pull some split second dodges and there is no momentum for your ship, meaning you can weave through clouds of bullets. The difficulty scales nicely so even with a broken build you can still mess up and die. The upgrades are incremental but have impact. The ship classes all feel and play differently. I'm currently achievement hunting after having unlocked all the ships. My only complaint, besides a couple crashes, is I wish there was more stuff. I want longer runs, maybe an endless mode. This game has fun as a top priority. Seriously, buy it.3 found this helpful
The game is cheap and fun to play. It's fairly easy to understand. With a little exploring you can see where to upgrade your stats. And what to do to unlock everything. It's a simple game, you can easily see how some of the mechanics work. (E.G. how the enemies simply follow you where-ever you are. That's one of the first things you learn how to program when starting out with making games.) I appreciate the effort and transparency the solo dev is putting out there, in order to fix any bugs. Old review is no longer relevant. Just leaving it here hidden for now as a reminder. [spoiler][strike]I actually like the game, but right now there's still too many crashes happening. Most of the crashes happen right after you kill the boss, and then your progress is at least saved before it crashes. I had one run where I crashed before I finished a run, and in that instance I lost my progress. So right now I can't in good conscience recommend anyone to buy the game. It is however not an expensive game to buy. And it's fun in it's simplicity. Will change my review to positive once I've found more bug fixes have happened and the game isn't crashing all the time. Wasn't into rogue likes before but it's a cool experience for short-term fun. Steep progression and meaningful perks. Will definitely play another couple of hours1 found this helpful
Neat little game, well worth the full price. Decent amount of content. What it needs is an neatened menu aesthetic, a few more base enemies perhaps one that shoots at you or lays mines?) and a multiplayer mode. I look forward to seeing what the dev does with this.
