This game rocks! A must play for RPG Maker fans looking for something more on the narrative side than combat side. Definitely more of a visual novel than a game, the story is broken up by simple gameplay mechanics. It can be a bit clunky at times, especially when the game re-explains how to do the same mechanics over and over again. Despite this, I fully enjoyed my time with its gameplay loops. The narrative is choppy, but never dull. As other reviewers have noted, Seasons 8/9 both have abhorrent translations that make things hard to follow, and use incorrect names. Some of the dialogue can be a bit redundant, but its never bad. The audio and visuals for this game are fantastic. There are loads of hand-drawn illustrations to convey scenes, and all of them are a treat. The music too is great, and is not only reminiscent of Umineko's. (where they use fast-paced tracks to heighten dialogue scenes), one of the main composers, -45, worked on this! All in all, absolutely worth your time if you are a fan of RPG makers, fun stories, and a work where the creator clearly loves what they're making.1 found this helpful
i enjoyed this game a lot. even tho the translation took a dive during season s8-s9, i still had a great time from start to finish. the story, characters, and overall experience kept me invested despite that issue… i'm gonna miss this game. thank u so much to my friend for recommending this game :D1 found this helpful

I dedicate this story to my beloved witch (of the mortal fate), Noel
Potentially the pinnacle of the RPG maker genre/style of game. A narratively rich 'shonen' revenge story with a great cast, decent gameplay variety and a talking crow. (The game is over 20 hours long btw, I just played the first half on console).
As i don't intend to spoil anything, i will keep it short. The game is mostly story driven, less gameplay than you might want. The story itself starts of really well, but after the halfway point it becomes a bit of a stretch tbh. Again, don't wanna spoil anything, so i will say this: This Game's Story is better suited to be made into a 24 episode anime, and i would genuenly love to see it serialized into an anime by A1 pictures or some other studio.
