Having just watched and caught up to the anime, I decided to get this game and here are my thoughts: Pros: -When Subaru is onscreen -The story expands on some of the minor world-building details -Characterizations of all characters are very accurate -The most miniscule details are important -They got the actual voice actors/actresses -Adaptation of a "what-if" scenario is solid -Art style is nice on the eyes -Rem be saying Rem things -Mel's screams -Callbacks to events not covered in the game are handled well -Roswaal is the absolute best -Side content is fun and interesting Cons: -When Subaru is offscreen -Story can be quite glacial at points -Deaths don't carry the weight I desired (but it's the nature of the media) -Story liberties are very "safe" -Wolf's laugh -Wolf's Japanese dialog is incredibly low-mixed in some scenes -Puzzles are easy to a fault I think overall I enjoyed my time in the game. I would like to see another Re: Zero game at some point regardless of gameplay type. Since Spike Chunsoft produced it, it would be super nuts if we got one exactly like AI:Somnium Files2 found this helpful
Upon opening and reading for like 20 minutes I honestly realised that there is nothing engaging about this VN. Boring, mechanically and aesthetically unpleasant title which just rehashes the plot from the anime. Why bother? Considering the price you're better off either buying yourself proper anime-related games or reading much better VNs.1 found this helpful
A pretty good game, though the price doesnt warrant for its mediocre quality but if you can get it when its 90% then its worth it on getting it. the new characters and the story is amazing but in comparison to the original arc 3, i still prefer the original. 7/10
If you liked the anime, definitely play this game—it features a great "what if" story. Story: 4/5 Gameplay: 1/5 Music: 4/5 Voice Acting: 2/5 (Some of the characters have lower-sounding voices like they are far away, for example: El, Priscilla, and Julius) Graphics: 4/5 (It looks good, but lacks engaging facial expresion) Overall Score: 3.5/5
