About Of Evil and Darkness
Of Evil and Darkness is an interactive visual novel. The story takes place during two time periods on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest. The first time period is in the 1920s and focuses on a small fishing community and the horror that is released upon their island. The second time period takes place in present-day and focuses on a paranormal research group, with their own television show, heading to the island to film their season finale. Once they arrive they encounter the evil that was let loose upon the island, long ago.
The story branches at points and different scenes are available based on your choices.

I feel a little bad that there are no other reviews(that I can see) of this title... This is a visual novel. The story isn't bad, but I did expect a little more as far as actual gameplay. Not bad, not great.6 found this helpful
A visual novel about a cursed island, chronicling the events that happened in the past and the events that will occur in the present. There are a number of choices but as far as I can tell, they only influence the next 10-60 seconds of reading and the story overall remains the same. The visuals are rather stylized and there's a large amount of graphics as most scenes have a new image. Some SFX would've gone a long way to help the immersion though. [spoiler]It's a bit disappointing that the story somewhat repeats itself between the time periods.[/spoiler] Overall, it was an engaging read for the price. The comics contain a few images of events that were otherwise only described with text, so having those is a nice extra.1 found this helpful
