What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players consistently criticize the game for poor voice acting that sounds artificially generated, lack of genuine scares despite being a horror title, and excessive filler gameplay involving tedious exploration of drawers and cabinets while waiting for timer-based progression. Multiple users also report significant VR functionality issues, with the game either not launching in VR mode or lacking VR support entirely, making it unplayable for those who purchased it specifically for that feature.
Oof. Another lackluster game from ViS. I'll start with the negative stuff first to get that out of the way so I can end on a positive note(sort of). <3 The Bad: - The voice acting is horrific and not in a good way. It sounds quite literally like a text to voice program read the script for the entire game and it was just awful. It completely ruined any sense of fear or immersion for me. - Door and cabinet opening simulator. Since most of the progression related events are seem to be on a timer, you will find yourself killing time by opening every drawer, door, window, and cabinet you can find in the house. - Not scary at all. The jumpscares/screamers fell completely flat for me. I wasn't afraid while I was playing this, I was mostly just aggravated because of my commitment to completing games that I start. The Meh: - Candles/Flashlight are useless with the in game brightness slider. - Achievements aren't really something that I want to complete, which is unusual for me. Some of them are related to the arcade game cartridges you find around the house but they are glitchy and unfun to play. - No Danger at all. This is normally not a big deal. I appreciate walking sims as l…11 found this helpful
I could not get VR to work. Using Steam VR on PSVR2 or VD on Quest 3. I turned on VR in the game menu settings. Didn't have any effect.4 found this helpful
Hello :) Not too much to say here. You will like only if: - if you liked Pineview Drave. - If you have nothing better to play. - if you like long back and forth walking, and endless checking all cupboards. You will hate: - if you are used to cool horrors - never played or liked Pineview Drive. - bored with senseless walking. - prefer good stories. https://youtu.be/lgKQJSzhQ3k2 found this helpful
Das langweiligste Game, welches ich je gespielt habe! Man rennt nur sinnlos durch die Zimmer und wartet darauf, einen neuen Zettel zu finden, um ins nächste Kapitel zu kommen. Diesen Kauf bereue ich wirklich.
Does not start in VR. Does not even have such option. I only bought playing it in VR.
Makes me wanna delete this game permanently!
