Oh Jeez, Oh No, My Rabbits Are Gone!

A delightful rabbit riddled experience. Lots of good timing based puzzles and 100 (or more?) adorable bb bnuuys. Totally recommend it if you're looking for something to relax with and explore. The rabbits want to go home, but they are full of love and can push through because they know you are there for them! Bun /10

Cute, fun little puzzle platformer. Takes about 5-6 hours if you're grabbing all the rabbits and palettes that you can get in a single run. There's some extra challenge stuff on replays for doing things like a minimal run, but you get most of the gameplay out of it in just one run. Level design is pretty good, and the puzzles are clever and take some thought, without being overly burdensome. Most rabbit puzzles are limited to one screen, but palettes can sometimes require multiple screens and better map awareness to figure out how to get to them. The pacing is good, even when you're trying to get everything and having to go a bit out of your way for some things. Soundtrack is pleasant, art is cute, and controls are responsive enough for what it is. A minor design issue is that the "Afterimage" palette isn't clear how to get, due to bad art messaging on a hidden door, and I had to look up a guide for where it was. Another minor issue with another palette is "Darkness", which is hidden in some trees in a dumb location, that again required a guide to find. A few technical issues, notably that achievements are recorded in-game, but not in Steam. Also a crash when re-assigning the B…

Bunnies! Okay, the cute graphics are definitely a charm. But this is a puzzle game first and foremost. And I think the puzzles are good too. You want to guide bunnies to their homes. But you don't directly control the bunnies; instead, you use commands to have them e.g. follow you or stop where they are. Puzzle games about giving instructions indirectly, like this, are not easy to come by. The world is quite open, letting you rescue bunnies in whatever order you want. New worlds introduce new mechanics that make things tricky. The puzzles don't get too difficult, but they explore the depth pretty well. There are some secrets you can find for a variety of Steam achievements. If you're looking for horrendously difficult puzzles, you won't quite find them. It's a chill game. Simply enjoy your time here.

A delight of a puzzle platformer, Oh Jeez, Oh No, My Rabbits Are Gone! really delivers on its premise extremely well. The puzzles are good, the rabbits are adorable, the ending I got (with more rabbits than I began) was great, the music suits the areas well. It's around 3-4 hours (assuming you try to save all the bunnies, but who wouldn't?), and with a variety of different mechanics in the different areas to keep it from being boring. The graphics work well for the game's style, and collecting all the different palettes is also fun (although I'll admit, I missed a couple). Difficulty of a puzzle game is obviously very person to person, but I found the game's difficulty fun and interesting without being painful or obtuse. I think most people could play it and be able to work out the puzzles. The player's mechanics are also pretty simple (you have a two block jump, a three block jump, a sprint, and a climb, as well as the bunny commands), but are used effectively and combined with area-specific mechanics to keep them interesting. The "final area" as it were is also a really nice touch and well done. All around great puzzle platformer.

This game is brimming with love, whether it be for Indie Games, Platformers, Bunnies or just all three. I played this with my nephew and I couldn'tve had a better time, I hope this game gets its desserts it truly deserves it. Leaving this review for the algorithm.

Really...? it should have at least 200+ reviews by now... I still think of this nice puzzle game from time to time. Maybe it's the music? Maybe I loved exploring the environments, solving puzzles and catching rabbits? Or maybe it was the end...? No spoiler! All I know is that a Yes recommendation has been sorely missing from me. Recommended? Yes! Save those rabbits! And have a good time :D
