About On The Road - The Truck Simulator
Haul cargo across detailed German highways in realistic MAN and Scania trucks, managing routes, rest times, and your own trucking company with hired drivers. With over 6,500 km of motorway and country roads, authentic vehicle physics, multiple trailer types including gigaliners, and Steam Workshop customization, this is the ultimate German truck simulation experience.
In this realistic truck simulation, you have more than 6500 km of motorway and country roads at your disposal – including numerous detailed motorway interchanges. Get behind the steering wheel of a MAN TGX or Scania R Series and discover more than 15 German cities like Hamburg, Bremen, Cologne, Hannover, and Berlin, with unique road designs and sights. Additionally, numerous other points of interest are waiting to be discovered along your journey, as well.
The MAN and Scania trucks behave very realistically – including automatic transmissions, retarder/intarder, and assistance systems. From compact box bodies to semi-trailers and even gigaliners, you’ll have the right cargo volume available for every delivery order. Thanks to the Steam Workshop support, you can paint every vehicle and trailer as you desire.
On The Road also features an economic system. Found your own company and hire drivers so you can accept more orders. Plan your routes as efficiently as possible, but keep an eye on the mandatory rest times as well.

This game would be a lot better if the traffic didn't crash so often. I'm trying to avoid crashed cars more than I'm actually driving. Unfortunately, because of this, I'm not really willing to continue with this game.
I gave this game many chances... With a steering wheel it's easier to play. without a steering wheel I don't really recommend it. Even with a steering wheel it's strange compared to other games, you get used to it. You have to choose how much and what you transport, at first I didn't like it, but I started to get used to it. The reason why I chose this game is the trailers that you can hook to the chassis truck. A big problem is the save, after 45 minutes of playing I exited the game normally, when I re-entered to continue the race I was 400 km back, almost nothing was saved. In this game 100 kilometers is about 10 minutes of playing. An automatic save of 2.5 minutes and a manual one should be added. Then the settings, every time I enter the game I have to set the controls on the steering wheel, and other controllers. This game requires more attention from the DEVELOPERS !!! Right now I can not recommend it, but you can try it and watch out the time to get money back, for me is too late to get money back, but I wish they (DEVELOPERS) will keep invest in this game cuz is unique !
This game I was slow figuring it out, but, once I did I enjoyed it even though I had to drive keyboard and mouse for a long time. Using an X-Box controller made it easy. The game could have been improved, but, it was abandoned long ago because of new game they started. It's a shame. So, unless it's on a big sale I wouldn't get it. In many ways, I prefer this game over most truck driving games though.
you would think a big company like aerosoft would be on the ball with there games. think not this was a mess at the beginning and even now still a mess. It took me 30 mins off line just to find out why my screen was all fuzzy and would not give me a picture then trying to get the truck set up just to leave the drive way. you get into the truck in the morning only to flind your face is push against the windscreen ? is this how people drive in europe? how do you see the dash and the instruments pannel. then i go into options as i noticed a few things not working and then i find this Tobii turned on by defult it is stuck on why have a option to turn it off ? i think the quickest thing that worked was the purchase off it and the install and uninstall. even on sale this is a nightmare. all i wanted was a game to play for a few days plug and play
very good game 10/10
