About Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy
Two girls are key players in the incident...What do they know!?
Multiple reports of kidnapping have shaken Tokyo to its core. Regrettably, these reports are not baseless rumors...
The victims are mainly young people and their numbers have been steadily rising. Variants and members of a mysterious group have been sighted at the scene of the kidnappings. Students from Hinowa Academy—the very school attended by members of the Xth Squad—are in danger.
In pursuit of the truth, closely held secrets will be exposed...
But this is far from the only incident plaguing the city.
There are reports of strange incidents known as Sprawl Terrors, in which buildings and people suddenly vanish into thin air. A powerful enemy with mysterious origins opposes your efforts to investigate this phenomena. Furthermore, there appear to be some familiar faces among your enemies.
As the situation grows more desperate, loyalties will be questioned!

Solid gridder. Not as polished as some of expinc's later games like stranger of sword city, but overall a very enjoyable experience. Dungeon crawling with quality of life features, reasonable story, and even competent english voice acting which is uncommon for this niche type of game.
It was better than they say.
Amazing old school RPG with Wizardry like dungeon crawls. Might not like it if you are less than 30 years old. Devs are likely my age. OMFG so good. Japanese VA are amazing.

Operation abyss is a pretty fun experience and you'll probably like it if you like dungeon crawlers or rpg in general however the main factor which i find disappointing in this game is that some of its mechanics are really not explained well in gameplay and you will need to read its in game manual however its not really game breaking its just a question whether you want to read it or not. And since its a dungeon crawler, i guess when you already played some games in this genre you'll adopt quickly since even if its different the fundamentals remain kinda unchanged especially games from experience, inc which developed this game and many other dungeon crawlers that are like wizardry and from what ive played and read this game mechanics is kinda basic even compared to other games and i'm kinda okay with it since it kinda makes it easier to learn and play also since this game is technically a remake of one of the first games experience made and released on Vita and ported to PC. but i still recommend if you do play this do read the manual just to be sure cause mistakes in game will be made. As for the plot its not really its strong suit, its fine really since you play as someone with a …
Wizardry meets Power Rangers! Teenage agents who are able to link with computer codes that enable superhuman abilities and weapons, before they age out and can no longer link, form the basis of this game. It uses an interesting alternative to traditional Wizardry classes. The game mixes up being overpowered for several moments and having to grind it out to move an inch in others. Very little time was spent balancing. Farming for crafting is abysmal. But the game has a charm. The story, the characters, made it all worthwhile. It has a long post-game which is more grind, if you’re into that sort of thing. If you’re into Wizardry-type games, definitely check this one out. Despite aforementioned flaws, it’s one of the best Wizardry clones I’ve played.
