Pain Pain Go Away!

I was really enjoying this game, I was even recording it for a Let's Play... I didn't really question the art in the dives until Chapter 3. I kind of just wrote it off as a style choice akin to Puella Magi's Labyrinths. I came back to the store page for a closer look and see that, indeed, AI was used for these. I, as an artist myself, cannot support the use of AI in projects that make profit. I really wanted to love this game, I loved the plot but I cannot finish this in good conscious. Hiring an analogue horror artist for those DIVE parts would've gotten those creepy/traumatic parts across better than those AI generated pieces. Please... do better.

i love this game's concept, but i can't recommend it due to the use of generative AI. it really is a lot of fun to play. i hope to see this game continue in the direction of using human artists.

I absolutely love this game. From the visuals, characters and gameplay, to the dialogue and the cliffhangers at the end of every episode dragging you in to keep going. It was a unique experience with typing mechanics, which to me are not seen too often in the industry as of late and have some potential. Points were raised regarding AI-assisted tools, but I am inclined to bring up the fact that, as the developers said in the "AI Generated Content Disclosure", it's reviewed, edited and adjusted to fit the game's visual direction, never used as-is. Nevertheless, I fervently recommend this game as I have liked it a ton and I think it's worth the price it's given for the story it presents.

This game lured me in with typing and cute artwork. I was very surprised by the twists and turns and outcomes it had. I find this game so charming and I am super hopeful they make a second one or continue the story somehow cause I am invested! Also THANK YOU for giving hints how to get the other endings! <3

I really enjoyed the little story that the game offers and how the characters are handled. The gameplay is just okay, doesn't do anything innovative and that's okay. Just to make it clear, [b]I am not the type to go on a witch hunt[/b] [i]"oooooo get rid of everyone who uses generative AI oooo[/i]", I can sort of understand the use of it in certain scenarios, however, not in this case. The developer has stated that none of the generated images were used unedited, which you can kinda see with some, however, most of the time, the AI images are barely edited and you can easily tell, which just makes the overall experience feel worse due to the extremely noticeable inconsistency in the "artstyle". Considering the amount of people on the team, I am really surprised AI was used in general. Each illustration for the dives wouldn't take more than a few days to make. If you want to make something creepy and uncanny, handcraft an idea by stitching together different parts of realistic photos to create amalgamations, then using it, make the drawn version of the design…
