About Palmier Island

Cozy island RPG sim... but everyone only speaks French and you have to pay off your missing uncle's debt! Start a cafe, run a farm, fight demons in a school basement, go to court, and more as you discover each islander's lore and leave the island semi-fluent!

Cute demo, can't wait for the full version, Since I speak pt-br, it was easier than i thought, but the premise is really nice

I originally downloaded this game to try to help me study more French. This game was so much fun! I loved the character's, the story and the gameplay. The artstyle is so cute too. Im so excited to see how this game develops and so ready to play more when more is released. Curse you Uncle Unk for leaving so much debt.(Im joking I love this game).

Nice story, concept, mechanics and funny. Voice actors and art is also good. Would definitely be a fun way to learn French. The area is somewhat hard to navigate, especially with invisible barriers and the aura and patience points suddenly dropping when the dialogue ended gave lovely heart attacks.

love it so much! i learn a little bit of french but would love to have a repeat button in their dialogues so i can imitate the pronunciations. also, while walking i often get stuck on invisible lines? but its understood cause its still on demo. would love to play the full game soon

So downloaded to practice French, which I like. Some context: I went to French class in school a few years back, I know a pretty basic understanding with rust. However because of the comments I noticed there's a few words that you need a bit more than basic to understand when it comes to Alphie which could get frustrating. Then there's shopping, yeah I learned I'm better at reading in context than trying to figure out which ones shampoo correctly. So Pros: good practice for French to shake the rust off (Though no clue on accuracy as a non-native French speaker), good humor, nice art style, a good system in my opinion. con: invisible barriers which caused me to have to go around the island which was tedious, No clue where to go sometimes I'm pretty excited to see how the game goes and can't wait to practice my French on the full release
