PROFITS 2167: Planetary Resource Optimization & Freight Infrastructure Technician Simulator

This game is honestly a really fun gem to play. It feels like a sort of cross between something like Deep Rock Galactic (conceptually) and Lethal Company (aesthetically), although this game is certainly its own very unique thing. Essentially, you drive a train around to manage different stations that mine minerals, while defending your stations from bugs, and all the while managing resources (unlocked throughout the game) that help manage your station's resources and assist in clearing waves of bugs. The progression track is very satisfying. The progression between each game is also satisfying. You start out with little in the ways of upgrades for your train or stations, so there are upgrade routes that are more heavily incentivized towards the early-game. Then, it is better to prioritize other types of upgrades later on, and in the late-game you essentially can sort of automate your stations as they extract and deliver minerals for you, while you drive around at insane speed just managing the resources of each station and killing bugs with your train. It's hard to describe why this game is fun, but gradual progression into zooming around the map and controlling the directions…

This game is an incremental roguelike but the gameplay is about carrying goods from mines to the hub, and carrying supplies to the mines. It all happens very fast yet has just enough micromanagement to make it intricate. The progression is well balanced and a few more playstyles open up as you obtain boosters. The game is very difficult but does not punish failure similar to games like Wall World or Undermine, no progression is ever lost. The aesthetic and music is good, it puts you in the fun zone. Influenced by buckshot roulette, although there is no hidden lore rabbithole (yet?).

Love the aesthetics, love the gameplay,, almost finished getting all the upgrades, banger for it's price.
