About Project XMAS
Project XMAS is a retro style, horror, single - player game where you need to return
to your home. The map on which you will play is completely procedurally generated so every
approach to complete the game will be differend and specific. The game have really creepy
sound engine so it's highly recommended to play with headphones to hear that something
is follow you... Your main objective is to return to your home... but you have limited
battery and energy...
The game have good graphics style like old VHS tapes vibe, so the atmosphere
of the game is really specific and horrible. The game have First Person point of view,
it's highly recommended to play with headphones. Your only weapon is your
hearing and flashlight...

Project XMAS is a low key asset flip, a bunch of other people's assets assembled badly to make a basic game, typically this kind of thing is done by amateur developers without sufficient budget, talent and/or staff to do the job of game development professionally. It's then quickly rushed into Steam Direct. And, unsurprisingly, this never results in a product with any quality, interest, or value for gamers. This is a really basic Unity first person horror asset flip with a twist... apart from the fact the developer never finished the game, also, there's no content because the developer tried to use procgen instead but couldn't get the algorithm to do his job for him so the game basically doesn't work, you get randomly generated broken levels. Sure, procgen is way easier than actually creating meaningful content, but the dev here couldn't even get that right. So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Very little in this game is truly the creation of the "developer", it's just a bunch of rearranged assets. While there's…3 found this helpful
WOWOWOOW IT'S SO GUD I REALLY LOVE THE PART WHERE THER'S NO THREAT AND THE GAME IS GENUINLEY UNPLAYABLE
Positive: Free to play and easy to launch — a simple horror maze experience. Retro-style maze exploration with a flashlight and procedural elements adds some tension. One achievement is obtainable, so casual players can still try a quick goal if they want. Negative: ⚠️ Most Steam achievements (11 out of 12) are currently unobtainable — full completion is impossible at this time. Gameplay is repetitive and minimal, with limited polish and little progression beyond exploring the maze. The game may feel unfinished or underdeveloped for players expecting more complete mechanics. 🏆 Completionists & Achievement Hunters: Only 1 achievement is currently obtainable ✅, which can be completed in 5–10 minutes. The rest are unavailable, so chasing 100% completion is not possible until the developers fix or update the game. Overall: Project XMAS is a free horror maze game with a retro vibe. It offers a small, tense experience, but the broken achievement system and limited gameplay make it hard to recommend for achievement hunters or anyone seeking a more complete horror experience.
