About Promesa
Promesa is a personal project born from a conversation between a grandfather and his grandchild, where you wander through their dreams and memories.
While listening to someone trying to remember their experiences, past and present blend together, forming a stream of images that are both personal and shared.
From memories of homes and streets to surreal visions of imaginary places, Promesa is a contemplative experience about what happens when we’re left dreaming of the things we haven’t lived firsthand.
- A slow and relaxing experience focused on contemplative exploration.
- Every playthrough (of approximately 45 minutes) is different and it takes more than one to see all the scenes.
- A distinct visual style that mixes pixel graphics with high-def light.
- Visit dreamlike environments inspired by Argentinian and Italian cities.
- A personal project born after a few conversations I had with my grandfather and made by a small team of 4 people.
- An acoustic soundtrack that uses many different instruments: from piano and double-bass, to zither and harmonium.

It was a fairly nice experience. In this game you will just float through scenes and get some sporadic thoughts. First I felt unenthusiastic, but after a while I got a little bit more into the mood and sat through it. Nothing life changing, but what's an hour? Why not try to sit through something slow sometimes? It's probably good for your brain. Trains your memory.1 found this helpful
Dreamlike, exquisitely crafted floating sim.
Kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Argie walking simulator. You slowly wander around until you hit the end of a room
Sometimes beatiful and creative, but ultimately you "just" walk through empty places and rooms, doorways. Several times I felt there was something emotional about to happen, but then it never did. There are better games that make you feel like a ghost.
A short game that is more of an interactive art piece; you wander through several atmospheric scenes, piecing together an underlying story. I liked the visuals and sound design. Admittedly, this sort of slow, sedate, 'walking sim' type of game might not be to everyone's taste; but if you do like that kind of thing, give Promesa a try.
