The Predecessor

The Predecessor is a very strange little game, and I think that is probably the best way to describe it. I am dropped into a series of abstract worlds with no weapons, no enemies to fight and no big list of objectives telling me what to do. Instead I am walking around, talking to odd characters, looking at strange places and collecting memories and objects from whoever came before me. The whole thing feels like I have stepped into somebody else's half finished dream, and I actually like that feeling. It is quiet, weird and sometimes completely ridiculous. The exploration is easily my favourite part. The worlds do not really follow normal rules, and I never know what sort of place I am going to find next. One area can look almost normal and then suddenly become much stranger as I keep moving around. I can interact with characters and objects, pick up things that give me little pieces of information and slowly work out what kind of world I am actually in. There is not a huge amount of direction, so I have to be willing to just walk around and see what I can find. That freedom works for me here because the whole point seems to be discovering things naturally. The characters are anot…

Very deep , this concept of world is awesom l love this game

The simple graphics really work for this storyline, I never thought I'd mourn a world that only existed for the amount of time I spent wandering it. I hope they're at peace in non-existence.

This game should be called The Sucktacular Adventure, but you get what you pay for.
