It is indeed a simulation of a queue. Waiting on the queue took significantly less time than expected 10/10. The puzzle adds a nice touch to it, just wish there were more queues to wait on.2 found this helpful

The game is exactly as described. fun little puzzle to do in the loading screen while you wait (honestly all games with a queue of some sort should include one). definitely worth the money you spend on it. with patience you will obtain true glory. 10/10 queue.
I unironically sat in the longest queue of my life and it was all fake. But i did a puzzle and got a bunch of shiny awards 10/10
