About Raid
"My future had to be the brightest. At least, that's what I thought."
Three Stones, small sleepy town on the edge of the world, hidden safe and sound behind the mountains. Our people are devout and pious, shunning from the vanities of the world. In this place misdeeds are a rare, and one stolen dog makes a scandal.
"My home."
Raid is a detective visual novel with choices and consequences, unfolding in a cold, slow-paced, lost-in-time way of the scandinavian tv-shows. It's a story about coming back home, to your new old life and being immediately dragged into a tornado of troubles. Now you need to find the one responsible for a crime before the hell breaks loose. Make your way through the second shard of the mirror universe. You'll make a good hound, your mentor told you.

This is a visual novel with a female protaganist whom is a sort of religious detective, at least for the pruporses of this story. The game grappels with questions of faith and community as well as these issues in the context of modernity. It also deels with more practical matters of sin. While not a religious person I found the story interesting if perhaps a little over the top at times. In regards to game play, at times it felt a bit more like a kinetic visual novel than a multi-choice work...at times at least. That all said, I found it all interesting and engaging enough to recommend this game.8 found this helpful
Investigate a scandal in a religious community and decide who to accuse. You are following the story of a young girl who returns to her childhood village. She was an orphan who was raised in church alongside other lost children or those sent there. When she returns, she encounters many new faces, but there is one old face she is really happy to see: Stacia, her best friend. The village is all about religion and the Maker, and it only recently got internet access. Despite the fact that you were sent outside to explore the world, you didn’t forget where you came from. But you are returning because you were the greatest student and are destined to be a deaconess. Unfortunately, there is a scandal shortly after you arrive. It appears that someone desecrated the saint's idol as a sex toy. What makes the situation much more confusing is that someone sent a video from the community to the news. The clip apparently show misuse of power, cult-like behavior, and abuse. There is an inspection coming into the village. The fact that these events occurred so close together cannot be a coincidence. As someone whom Mother Superior trusts, you are tasked with investigating and finding the c…6 found this helpful
Raid is an investigative visual novel where we play a nun who has been in the city for a while now, returning home to a very religious village. Not long after our arrival, we found there was a scandal where someone did something inappropriate with a little wooden statue of importance. Our job is to find the culprit who committed the crime, as well as find out who posted a video by an anonymous person of the church being cult-like and abusing their power over other people. Throughout the game, we will be choosing and talking to different suspects to pin the crime on while discovering different secrets and history related to the church concerning why the idol is so important and uncovering the video that was posted to gather the church's media attention. The end game is to accuse someone or to encounter whatever mystery lies within, all depending on what decisions we make, giving us different endings for our consequences. Some nudity scenes are involved in this game, but not too explicit. There's also some cool little interaction where, in some scenes, it moves slightly if you move the mouse anywhere. Furthermore, if you're lost, occasionally there's a pin board section where it c…3 found this helpful
This VN is awesome! It's highly recommended for those who love some dark atmosphere and mature themes in video games.3 found this helpful
Great game that's painfully overlooked. The characters are fantastic. You get a great impression of their different personalities and outlooks. The story seems simple enough at first but throws a few curve-balls. It really ramps up toward the end. The writing style is descriptive without being over-done. The music adds a lot and really fits the game well. At the time of writing this, the soundtrack has more reviews than the base game. lol It's marked 'adult only' but it's not very explicit. It's not that type of game. Except for only a couple images, it's only mature for text. Think, "Game of Thrones" level.2 found this helpful
Okay, wow. That was a narrative gem, even with the clunky English translation—a solid mix of religious dogma, village secrets, and sexual repression, complete with the intense eroticism you'd expect, albeit not graphically so, though the art is absolutely stellar across the board. Branching paths that, for a while, give the impression something more sinister and otherworldly might be afoot, only for the truth to be surprisingly mundane in the true ending, perfectly anticlimactic. Phenomenal music and audio design, as well. Will definitely have to check out RAID's sibling games; Ikuku has me hooked on this universe of theirs, line, sinker, etc.
