Rocket Assault: Downhill Rush

Rocket Assault is wonderful and easily worth the price. It aces almost every aspect and it’s clearly made with love. However, I’m giving it a thumbs down as a warning and to emphasise by who it should only be played. Saying the game is overtuned does not stress the severity of the word. The controls are very technical and difficult to master (on a DualShock 4 controller). This being a challenge enough in itself, the levels are also designed devilishly where perfection is demanded. On top of all that, the speed run times you need to achieve 3 stars do not allow you to make a single mistake. Honestly, I find it incredibly weird and misleading how the game’s steam page doesn’t have a single mention/word about challenge. In fact, just trying to complete levels without caring about stars is incredibly hard. I gave up with level 20 (out of 21) because there are 2 gates that will close if you’re not fast enough, it’s not possible to complete that level after trying for a couple of hours. I spent over 26 hours as a whole and got 3 stars on 18 levels. I was still willing to put up with all the bullsh*t but that level took away all motivation I had left. Controls are really bad, it just seems like the game has input delay, at least in keyboard
