I feel compelled to review this game earlier than i would usually review other games but this game deserves more of a spotlight. I understand the complaints and that the launch state is worse than anticipated but 90% of the complaints of negative reviews refer to the broken crossplay that will be fixed within a week of launch. I understand that it was marketed with working crossplay and a lot of people were looking forward to this feature in particular but i do not believe that this game deserves a 65% rating just because the crossplay is broken and because people didnt expect the survival horror game to use disempowerment even though this is the most common way to make people afraid in the genre. It is a very interesting and really good game. Please give it a try. The atmosphere is so thick you could cut it with a knife and the team really outdid themselves on the sanity mechanics!

Graphics 9/10 Atmosphere 9/10 Fun factor 8/10 gameplay 8/10 A very good game with friends, game looks super good on the highest settings, but it does need a few updates, can't add friends from the game menu, button does nothing, not sure how you would even add friends on xbox or ps5, feels like a character progression system is missing, but I will say this game is a solid 8/10 for me, its very unique to other extraction games, and the atmosphere is excellent, one minute your laughing, then next your screaming! I really hope the devs keep updating and adding content as I can't pinpoint it but feels like something it missing to keep you coming back.

Lovecraft-inspired treasure hunt with your friends while slowly descending into madness sounds appealing, this game might be exactly what you're looking for. The melee combat and overall combat system are challenging, and every encounter feels dangerous. Taking risks in close combat can easily get you killed, which makes surviving each fight feel genuinely rewarding. Some players may find the movement and combat a bit clunky, but I actually think it adds to the experience. It's a refreshing change of pace from today's fast-moving shooters like Apex Legends and the modern Call of Duty games. The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu dares to do things differently, and I hope it finds the dedicated player base it deserves.
