"Rolando The Majestic" is an ambitious but ultimately failed adventure game. The premise is entirely promising but the delivery was a disaster. What do you do in the game? This is a single-player, stealth-based narrative adventure with puzzle elements, featuring time travel and magic. The story revolves around a young thief seeking revenge against those who wronged him as a child. Unfortunately the whole thing is a buggy mess that glitches out on one of the crucial parts of the game, so it can't be completed and the developers, while aware of the problem, have so far refused to maintain their software. The other killer is the ugly, lazy pixelcrap presentation. It's not 1989 anymore. So yes, this features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them…2 found this helpful
It's too buggy and hasn't been fixed. I want to finish the game because the story is really interesting but i can't progress because I keep getting stuck on a never ending stair case. the game would be perfect otherwise.2 found this helpful
Read the other reviews that are longer than this one, given how the game's bugs haven't been fixed by now makes me think they never will. The game is ok. The concept anyway.
pretty glitchy and laggy but the story was interesting so would love to play if it worked better
this game is fun, but once you get to the casino, it's just becomes unplayable from the constantly growing lagfest and no save points in the game, just reload the level the story is a little all over the place, first we follow his past, only for every level afterwards being a ghost helping level with no mention of the level prior there's also a lot of other bugs: -such as assets appearing through layers when they shouldn't -assets not disappearing after they said the npc said they would leave (if you come back to the room, they appear again) -text boxes aren't above the person's who's speaking -stairs bugging out causing you to only move up and down -your able to activate the dialogue again by triggering their hit boxes so they keep popping up if you keep walking into them instead of them disappearing after one time it's free and has a good art style, interesting world, but oh boy the bugs and lag really screw people over so it's just annoying after some time
