The constant hint pop-ups make it a terrible day to have eyes. It's like Close Combat, but worse because it constantly assumes you can't figure out how to play. Also the control scheme is awful.1 found this helpful
It's good if you haven't played anything in the RTT genre. It's bad compared to Sudden Strike and Blitzkrieg. The combat is flaccid, spongey and downright laughable, clearing a map in SS or Blitzkrieg feels more or less like you are in an actual battle. Clearing step by step, moving units around, operating logistics, positioning your scout and artillery. It's trying to reinvent hot water, without knowing why the water is hot in the first place, Just buy Blitzkrieg or Sudden Strike(the old titles), but if you want something 3D, grab Syrian Warfare or its predecessor Warfare Reloaded1 found this helpful
This game is the worst from the Codename: Panzers series. Pros: - Funny cut-scenes - Better graphics than Codename: Panzers, Phase One and Codename: Panzers, Phase Two Cons: - Controls are much worse than Codename: Panzers - Several missions with unlimited enemies - Last missions are brutal or extremely slow (you need to wait for hours to get resources to create decent army) Get it with highest discount as possible or get any other Codename game (better)
