Sanator: Scarlet Scarf

Like many other players, I was bought here by the cool looking art and I admit, that's the game's strong suit. The art style is beautiful and I adore the grim and dark aesthetic, fits very well here. But sadly, the art is the only strong suit in my opinion. The premise of the story sounds super intriguing but the plot barely lasts for 2 hours. The tale was over before I could get invested in it. I think it would've been way better to stretch out the story and make the chapters longer to get to know the characters and the whole word in more detail instead of reading about it in a tiny lexicon.

Summary: Get on sale, not worth full price This game only takes a little over an hour to complete everything (my time says 2hrs cause I accidentally left it running). It is by no means a bad game, I just feel it is underbaked. The story has many interesting premises that are never fully realized. The writing, and this may be translation errors, is stilted and off. The amount of times the mc talks about spanking kids (as punishment, not sexually) was odd to say the least. The art is at some points amazing, and other times...poor. I could tell where places were worked on hard and others fell by the wayside. I would not recommend this game except on sale. If you can get it for cheap, it's a fun romp. Not worth asking price for time and quality though.

short and sweet. interesting world and characters, though held back by a somewhat poor english localization. i got it on sale for just a few bucks and found it really worth it!
