appears to be abandoned and broken. I played when it first released and it the ideas were interesting but needed a little more refinement. Now it appears they have sold and current owner broke the game. launch screen is a blank screen that does nothing. had to alt+f4 to get out of it. Steam should de-list this.1 found this helpful
It's... fine. Not a bad game but just... acceptable. Best I can describe it as is Doom 2016 from AliExpress. But one of the alright ones as opposed to one of the outright bad ones. Still wouldn't recommend going out of your way to play it, purely because it doesn't really offer much that's novel.
Fun game. Scathe is at it's best when played co-op with a friend. The other key feature is on the world map you can fast travel to any level you have "COMPLETELY RUN THROUGH". This means entered one gate and exited a different gate even without completing objectives. This is important as the game can be difficult until you get a few guns and magic rings.I think some people get frustrated because they don't realize you can fast travel instead of having to run through old levels you have already beat. Just get to a couple of guns and the healing ring(you heal yourself and your friends each use), then worry about getting all 6 ruins in each level. The game is fun in a 90's style boomer shooter fashion but with nice modern and unique visual style. I really enjoyed a lot of the level details and secrete finding. Again, I highly recommend this a co-op experience first and foremost. If you are not achievement hunters you and a friend can beat this in 15-ish hours(I have 21 of the 30 achievements). The credit watching one seems broken.
