It is an absolute crime that this game isn't more popular. For me, it has that perfect, addictive "just one more run" loop that keeps me hooked for hours. Everything about the presentation is wonderful: I absolutely love the soundtrack, the beautifully gloomy atmosphere, and the constant progression through unlocks. It is just a incredibly charming experience overall. My only minor "complaint" is that I wish there were more upgrades, or that the synergies between them felt a bit more impactful. Even so, it is a fantastic indie title that roguelite fans shouldn't pass up. Highly recommended!
It's hard to find a game to compare this to, so that in itself is a good thing. This game is chill but enjoyable and well-designed, but best of all, it's fun! Well worth trying.
The Monopoly of video games. Roll a dice and see what happens. I like the look of this game and I want to like the rest of it, but you basically just click on graves for a random outcome. There are 24 graves to click on and you can choose six of them for rewards on each floor. What you get from each grave is random and having 24 graves gives you some feeling of being in control of the run but in reality it's pretty much just completely random. There are upgrades that you can choose every now and again but they have so little impact and basically no synergy which makes choosing them incredibly unimpactful and completely random like this rest of the game. I'd love to see this fleshed out more into an actual game, but as-is I would say definitely not recommended.
Still have more to do here but i'll toss in my two cents. At first, i was sceptical that a game so reliant on RNG could make for an engaging roguelike, but it does end up being very entertaining. There's a decent amount of build variety, but it does suck that even with plenty of reveals, RNG can still kill you with a bad roll. My biggest complaint really is that the in-game speed up option also pitches up the sounds, making them kind of grating. But without it, the game is kind of unbearably slow after the first few hours. Pick it up if you want an interesting enough roguelike, or if you're like me and will buy anything where you can play as a skeleton.
Simple but so much fun!
Creative, tight, and well-designed. Super fun little roguelike. Subscribing to this dev and I hope others play this game.
