Actually, it is pretty good tactical RPG, but I cant recommend it and I refunded. Here is why: The good: - there is some fair share of tactical elements in combat (terrain height, overwhelming, backstabbing, obstacles, ranged attacks) - choices of normal and elite enemies, random events, shops and resting - equipped items looted or bought in the shop The bad: - you get very little info on anything: Morale - how does it work, who knows? Bless spell adding bonus attack to allies in range. How big range how big of a bonus, who knows? Legendary artifact can be bought in the shop, it is supposed to add big attack bonus. How much, you will perhaps get to know after you spend all your money. Perhaps not. Enemy will move next round, how far, no idea. These were just few examples, but it is like that with many other items, skills.... Plus there are very few players playing the game so forget to get any info from the forum or from some fan-created materials Shame, shame, shame! I would love to play this game. But I cant enjoy tactical RPG if there is so little info about the mechanics. And I dont want spend dozens of hours experimenting and finding out something that should be naturally p…

If you like RPG, tactical, isometric, combat, as well as Rogue Lites, you will love this game. After about one game you can figure out most of the mechanics and start to advance. Try the first game or two on Easy to figure out the mechanics. They only take about 3 hours per game (though maybe I am slow as the Dev says two hours! =) It definitely has that one-more-turn, addictive feel to it. It took me about 5 runs to complete it the first time. There are a few bugs, some cause the game to lock and you lose progress, but the Dev is very responsive. You can report any bugs you run into in the first topic of the Discussion topics list page. I have communicated with Hudd often during his bug squashing in Fernageddon, the game he put out last year before this Sepulcrum (try it, it is a blast, you play as an evil character). Conversely, if you have already tried Fernageddon then you know the combat system already, so give this a try. For the price it's a bargain. Hudd is not only very responsive about fixing bugs but in considering your input about things you would like to see changed, improved, added, etc. It's an Indy game, so please support your Indy Devs!

Combat takes the spotlight here and with the past experiences of Leman and Fernageddon, systems and mechanics work well together. Each class has its own tricks and individual Traits add good variations to units. The tight battles, light management and branching paths make for a tight play loop. Unlocks for new classes and artifacts add replay value.

Fun if you enjoyed Fernageddon.. Same combat system, just very streamlined and made into a FTL/STS grid style roguelike. That said, imo it's still a beta/early access product as it's extremely buggy. Something like 90% of the games legendary/unique/actually worth equipping items are bugged in one way or another. As well as many of traits and some skills. Not totally unplayable, but it's difficult so optimizing around the bugs is necessary to win, which should not be a thing. Played some more and have to change my review to negative because the game is just very unfinished. Really like a alpha at best given like 80%+ of the content has severe game breakings bugs. Higher difficulties just aren't fun at the moment because so much stuff is just not available: Like classes are supposed to get better skills at lvl3+ , they don't because it's bugged. Legendary weapons are supposed to be stronger - there affixes/suffixes dont work , so there not really any different than masterwork.. etc. etc. So many severe bugs and the author hasn't updated in 5+ months so it may never get to a polished state sadly. Which is a shame since the core gameplay is good.

Nope. Way too many missing attacks. Magic missile has a 24% chance to hit when I'm 2 tiles away from the enemy. Unacceptable. And hitting your allies on a miss is absolute crap. There's trees everywhere that block my view, so I can't see half the field. 1 XP per fight that isn't shared feels bad. There's too much info that doesn't have an explanation. And this was all in the first 10 min of the game. Sorry, but this won't cut it for me.
