Sephirothic Stories. This game was made by Exe-Create and published by KEMCO. Exe-Create has been working with KEMCO to develope nice classic JRPGs. They are well known especially in the field about mobile JRPG games. And you can easily find the classic JRPG games developed by Exe-Create on Steam too. If you are more interested in KEMCO, check out the mobile games they publish. While information about them may seem a bit lacking in Steam, there are a lot of user reviews for them in the mobile market (GooglePlay and AppStore). Back to comments again about Sephirothic Stories, it is a JPRG game that Exe-Create tried to apply 3D graphics. This reminds us of PlayStation 2 game titles. These attempts were good, but they did not make the actual gameplay smooth. Ehhhhhh.... This game is weird. Since this is the best LOOKING KEMCO game out there to date. However this is one of the worst playing games in their entire library it commits so many bad things for an RPG. First off the narrative and worldbuilding in this title are TERRIBLE. This game explains so little to you that you have no real idea what the CLUCK is going on??? I was clueless as to why the murk was bad in the first place. This is so bad! Fernz Gate did this 10 times better and laid out how that world worked fairly early on. Second is that this game is stupidly short. I mean STUPIDLY short. This game doesn't even have a fourth act. The fourth act in the other games at least made the game a bit longer so as to not make them feel too short. Third is that there's oddly only one town in the game. WHERE IS THE ARENA? There's so little to do in this game it makes the whole world feel surprisingly empty. That's not a good sign for an RPG. At least in Amber Throne there was a reason for it to feel barren, here it feels out of place. Fourth, this game gave you an easy way of doing weapon customization however several customs are unavailable from the blacksmith. Th…

This is a very budget indie JRPG with an ok story and characters. It is very rough on the technical side, with weird screen transitions, generally poor environment textures and modeling, and very awkward sound transitions. In-game cutscenes are all in-engine, and without any voiceover, solely rely on the limited animations and text to convey the events, which is ok, but again, very budget and unpolished. It has nice character art, some neat music tracks, chibi-styled models and some cute animations, with classic turn-based combat and active time battle-like turn priority system. Some battle system quirks are neat, like elemental-infused weapon attacks and team combos. I feel like addition on crafting and superficial item trading systems for the collectible coins are unnecessary and only there to pad out the systems though. Lots of invented terms and full screens of small text with systems explanations also do not make this game any favors. Overall I feel like this is not the worst indie JRPG you can get, but the price point is really pushing it. I wish Steam would allow neutral reviews, as I don't feel like you can really recommend or not recommend this game, it's that [i]ok, bu…

This is my 2nd try to play this game....and guess what? This time I'll finish it...but I still don't like it. Nothing against the story plot. I mean it is something you just click away because every character acts like a first grader. No, it is the gameplay. If the biggest obstacle is pathfinding. 3D optic is nice. But if you can't move the camera....urrgh. Running around in circles because you missed the one spot were your characters could slide down. And than there are the character animations...it looks more like watching a puppet theatre. Every character makes a step forward and bows before speaking...and every few sentences the whole group jumps into the air. Maybe it is because this is a game more for the very young player..matching it is the very very easy gameplay. But even without this the game is rather boring. You get a linear story were you must visit a few locations (the map is small). The few enemies are no problem. I mean this game (like most of this dev) has a weapon and equipment lottery. And with a little luck you get a super power weapon early on. Add that you get attribut potions...using them on just one characer and Superman is back...after that even boss fight…
