About Signy & Mino: Against All Gods
Build over-the-top combos one move at a time. Position is everything, and most moves chain into the next if your timing is right. See how far you can carry the chain!
- Line up your Big Swing so the impact carries to enemies behind your target
- Launch a target skyward, juggle them in midair, then slam them back into the ground
- Trade your own HP to push the combo into the next target when the current one is incapacitated.
- Finish with a full-screen attack that shreds every enemy caught in the chain
- Call Mino in for a Nose Launch to send your target rocketing skyward
- Use Dig to claw a downed enemy back up so the combo can keep running
- Mix in Fetch and Fling, where Mino snatches an enemy out of midair and throws them wherever you point
- Spend you skill points on Signy's moves, Mino's tricks, or your defenses
- Unlock Combo Extend to chain more skills into a single combo
- Befriend a washed-up warrior who'll teach you tricks no one else can
- Stand against Augur, freshly clawed out of his rest in the mountain
- Join forces with other fallen gods and washed-up warriors as the world catches fire
- Discover your own hidden powers as the conflict pulls you in deeper

While I am not going to give a glowing review, I did quite like this game, and do genuinely recommend it. I think it is a solid 67/100, which in this day and age of everyone obsessing over metacritic scores, where anything below a 80 means the game is horrible, sounds terrible, but is still a positive score and fits how I feel about the game. The biggest highlight is definitely the combat, I love a turn based game not only with unique mechanics, but with interesting progression where there is no "number go up" RPG stuff to it, its about not only unlocking new moves to use, but LEARNING YOURSELF how best to combo them into eachother. By the end, you'll be hitting max combo on nearly every turn, feeling like you really mastered the system and it feels great. The biggest bummer for me was definitely the pacing in the last 3rd. The game has alot of enemies that have large health bars, and you hit level cap a WHILE ago, so there isnt any real reason to fight them, so you just end up running away from them all, and the story also feels like it has to rush and blurt out alot of backstory to the villains at the last minute to make you care about the ending. It felt like they had a longe…2 found this helpful
After two hours my feelings are positive. The sprites are nice and the combat feels great. Will flesh out with details after making more progress1 found this helpful
Damn good, albeit short game, although certainly worth what I paid for it. This is a story-heavy game with a hybrid JRPG system inspired by brawlers/fighting games that you also unlock moves from as you progress as well as work in tandem with your dog switching characters every second attack. The combat is a lot of fun and becomes more complex as you go, it didn't really get old until I finished the game, which was great. As for the story and characters, it's really good. Of course a shorter game has limits on how much you can develop the story, but they did a good job. It was an interesting and somewhat original basic premise and storyline and the characters, especially Signy, were really good. I really liked the story.1 found this helpful
For anyone who's played Namco x Capcom or Project x Zone (Or SRT OG: EF), the combat system was definitely what definitely drew me over to playing this game, and it feels like it's been expanded upon. With pretty lenient timings to combo moves together, it feels so good stringing a combo that you can think of. It is, unfortunately, a pretty short game. Just when you feel like you're finally getting started with the great battle gameplay and it's over in a flash. The shortness hurts the story a bit, as well, with not enough time to fully flesh out characters; but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Earning a chuckle every so often, I was actually decently invested into its story even with the little amount there was to building characters. The lack of enemies also hurts it just a bit for me, as well, with variants of the same 3-4 enemies showing up within three hours. Though I enjoyed having some enemies having statuses that make them a bit like a puzzle, seeing the same enemies over and over gets repetitive fairly quickly. Overall, if you enjoyed the combat sections of NxC or PxZ as much as I did, I'd say to maybe give it a try. Otherwise, it's a short but sweet game.
Pairing with gods to battle another and the inward look on humanity. Fun little game. Has nice juggling combo attacks. It's a quick game
I personally get into the story when I play a game so this review is made with that in mind. I really enjoyed the game's humor and the concept is pretty cool. Despite this fact, the final boss was very dissapointing. The entire fight is just the exact same model 3 times in each phase with minimal changes, and then a meaningless sacrifice at the end by a character you just meet near the end of the game. Maybe I'd be less dissapointed if the fight was less easy, because I took 0 damage in total the whole fight. The final boss is killed by reflecting their own fire attack despite fire being their main gimmick and it kinda felt anticlimactic. I still liked the combat gimmick but the story at the end took me out of it.
