RIP SMITE

Game is dead, Just bots. It wants to pretend that its still alive, and it tries to push you to smite two. Smite 2 is in beta, KIND OF functional, but no player base as well, just bots named vestigial code and ♥♥♥♥ like that. This was once a great game. It was the first game i ever saw people play professionally, teams won millions on the world championship 8 years ago. Its so sad to see a good game go the way of the dodo. Google says : "As of August 2026, SMITE still has active players, with recent monthly averages around 1,000–1,400 concurrent players on Steam and a total estimated player base in the millions across platforms" Thats less than one third of the daily players on the free Ultima Online shard i play. Pathetic. The game has an option to play against and AI, but if you queue for multiplayer, it just fills the lobby with bots and pretends they're people. Try it, see for yourself, its insulting. Dont pretend bots are real people. Devs could have just modified the original game, now they're making a second one? With what differences? If you wish League of Legends/Heroes of the Storm had a different camera angle, you'll love it.

I have played Smite for years and even with ups and downs, terrible meta's and fun meta's, i have loved playing the game. Thank you Smite for 10 years of an enjoyable game!

Buggy and not good anymore.

Why fight as a random hero when you can beat people up as an actual god? The third-person combat makes SMITE stand out from other MOBAs, and the huge roster of mythological gods keeps things interesting.
