About Skiing VR

Ski anytime you want on perfectly designed slopes. Find your way to the finish line and prove that you're the best skier!

RIDE WITH OTHER SKIERS OR WITH AI

Have a good time with your friends in a multiplayer game and find out who is the best skier or challenge riders from all over the world.

But sometimes, we all need a single ride. You can have a good time alone in all four game modes.

DIFFERENT SKIERS, DIFFERENT STYLES

Ski your way in the daytime or at night: set the best time in the race, come first to the finish, gain the highest score or enjoy a free ride. Navigate the slopes and find different ways to reach the finish line.

AI-POWERED REALISTIC CONTROLS

You don't need foot controllers to play Skiing VR, just your VR headset and two hand controllers. We developed a unique AI-driven control system that predicts your body movement according to different sensors. That's why Skiing VR is so realistic.

KEY FEATURES:

  • Ski in VR like on a real slope
  • Enjoy four game modes: time and speed races, score, and a free ride
  • Challenge your friends or players all over the world
  • Ride perfectly designed slopes
  • Feel the AI-driven controls
  • Let the music drive your ride

The controls are very wonky. I love to ski in real life. Probably one of my favorite physical activities. But this game just isn’t really quite enough. It would be cool if they added support for full body trackers on your ankles. Pushing with my ski poles down the mountain is both tiring and not realistic. Fancy skiing 2 is actually a bit better on many fronts.

Quest 3 4070 Ti Reasonably entertaining ski simulator with Ok VR graphics. Nothing mindblowing but some fun setups. Reminds me alot of those arcade snowmobile racing games. Physics is completely unrealistic though. Going high speed off a high steep hill and it feels like you have no momentum and will come nearly straight down with no forward energy left. For some terrible reason the ski level menu is attached to your head. However some of the levels are off to the side but when you rotate your head to look at them because the menu is stuck rotationally to your head you can never see them as they just rotate with your head. Each level appears to have a night and day version. Game seems to often be on sale for under $10 so its an ok purchase to give it a try.

It was so good that when I opened the game it wouldn't boot, and was stuck staring at me feet and had to refund it.

Simplistic learning curve but very enjoyable once you get the hang of it. Game offers 8 maps with both day & night options. Your arms will get a good workout from swinging the ski poles to gain speed as you tackle each map. You can swing you arms simultaneously or alternate your swing. There is a nice variety of environments and play options to choose from. The menu interface is very basic & not the best but it has no impact on game-play. I tried the demo & liked it very much so opted to buy the game shortly after. Game works fine with the HP Reverb G2 & WMR motion controllers. Controls are very responsive & the environments look great even though it leans more towards a cartoonish art style. By the way you can host your own private game. All you have to do is select the "Private" option before selecting the level you wish to launch. You can ski against AI bots if you want to race. Furthermore, all the levels are unlocked by default so you don't have to grind to try to unlock levels in order to find the ones you enjoy. This is not a game like SSX tricky but more like a scenic exercise experience.
