[b]snow jewels[/b] is a cute match-3 set in a snowy world where our protagonist and her cat end up after an encounter with an evil dragon. the story is a bit silly but amusing, presented via black and white drawings and not great writing, which adds to the charm for some while annoying others. [b]55 levels, 2 timed towards the end, the rest have a move limit.[/b] no difficulty settings, but it's not a hard game to begin with. might still need a few retries until randomness favors you, but it's fun, so I didn't really mind even if [b]it has some mobile leftover mechanics[/b]. what sets it apart from other match-3 titles is [b]diagonal and sideways matching[/b], so it's possible to create really long chains, extended further by the paw symbol (because cat) that acts as a link between two matching sets. gems can also get an ice or lightning 'buff', the former is basically a bomb, the latter destroys gems in the indicated direction. really cool explosions and chain reactions can happen, and while it's still not as satisfying as [b]bejeweled 3[/b], there's a very noticable [i]oomph[/i] to it. remaining moves fill the board with power-ups, which then trigger and add to your score, and …

An entertaining match-3/chain puzzle game. Graphics are well set out and I enjoyed the achievements as one progresses through the game.
