About Solar 2

In most games you see stars in the background, you shoot asteroids or you live on planets. But in Solar 2 you ARE these objects! Enter a universe where you must prove yourself to the resident god-like figure by doing its many bizarre and varied tasks. Or just ignore it and see how big you can grow!
Solar 2 is an open-world, sandbox game set in an infinite abstract universe. Play constructively: grow your system, nurture life on your planets and attack enemy life in huge space battles. Play destructively: crash into other objects and cause chaos, use your orbiting objects like wrecking balls, steal planets from other systems.

Key features:

  • Dynamic abstract sandbox universe. Changes and evolves as you do.
  • Non-linear missions and open-world gameplay.
  • No boundaries. Drift forever in ambient space bliss.
  • Full of weird eccentric humor and stuff.
  • Extensive custom sound track.

Solar 2 is a remarkably imaginative sandbox game that transforms the vastness of space into an interactive playground where players are not merely observers but an active part of the universe itself. Instead of controlling a spaceship or commanding an empire, the experience begins with a tiny celestial object that gradually evolves into planets, stars, and eventually complete solar systems. This unusual concept immediately distinguishes the game from traditional space simulations by focusing on natural growth, orbital physics, and experimentation rather than complex management systems or scripted adventures. Its minimalist approach conceals an impressive amount of depth, rewarding players who enjoy discovery and allowing every session to unfold in a different way. The game's biggest strength lies in its freedom. There is no single path to follow, giving players the opportunity to shape their own cosmic journey however they choose. Some may spend hours peacefully creating stable planetary systems, nurturing worlds where life slowly develops into advanced civilizations. Others can embrace destruction by hurling asteroids into planets, disrupting rival star systems, or causing specta…

I kind of enjoyed the original Solar, but Solar 2 just strikes me as tedious.

I rarely EVER give a bad review and its the first time I ever asked for a refund. 1 hour 40m progress gone to 0 because of a stupid random blackhole, back to 1 sun from 12 !!!!! The game literally gives you an arrow without explaination, you draft into it and BOOM ALL PROGRESS GONE. Sorry there is no excuse for this, also the progress is way too slow makes me regret ever touching this game. Overall this game is horribly unrelaxing, design is just NOT FUN - everything about this game is simply bad that's the truth. Do not fall into that trap, avoid this game.
