this game works like Resident Evil camera style you see in the 1995 that was ok because i just had more patience back then now not so much it just feel like i am driving a tank, and i am not a fan of grainy graphic it way to hard to see anything specially in 1080p. overall the game was mid.

Okay, so to start, its a good game. A frustrating game, but a good one. (Also don't let my total time fool you, I spent a good time of it in the pause menu because of life but I'd say i still spent a good hour on it.) Pros: - the atmosphere of the game is really good and the music supports it a lot. The environment felt weird and disorientating but I wouldn't say that is a bad thing, in fact I think it helps a lot to the "dream/nightmare like state" that the the game takes place in. - The controls feel really nice, its a bit weird at first but that might just be me and not normally using tank controls on a keyboard, but after a while the controls worked very well and felt good to use, especially with being able to continue movement with the inventory open. - The Nail Gun was arguable the best weapon in the game and felt decent enough to use, however there is more about the nail gun in the con section as well, but over all it was a good weapon to use throughout the game and with lots of ammo around I didn't feel like I had to horde it for any reason. Somniphobia is a pretty interesting horror game because it mixes classic survival horror ideas with a roguelike structure. I play through a recurring nightmare where waking up resets everything, but the rooms, enemies and items can change each time. I liked that immediately because it gives the familiar horror formula a reason to stay unpredictable. The fixed camera and tank style movement give the game a very old school survival horror feeling. I have to explore carefully, collect useful items and manage my resources while trying to figure out how to escape the nightmare. I enjoyed this because the limited information makes the environments feel more dangerous than they probably would with a modern camera and constant objective markers. The changing layouts are probably my favorite mechanic. I cannot simply memorize everything after one attempt because later runs can move important objects and enemies around. That makes me pay more attention to what I am carrying and where I am going, while also giving failure a little more purpose because I can learn from the attempt. The atmosphere works well too. I wish there was a middle ranking. Clearly some love and attention in this thing and it manages to have some decent atmosphere at times and certainly is compelling to a point because there's zero clue what's happening and what you're doing or where. But it gets old fast with combat that clunky and enemies that lack any feedback or stun lock on hit so you have to soak up a lot of damage unless you already know they're coming. Performance was pretty bad as well, granted I have a potato but still, didn't seem like this should tax its resources that bad. Not sure what the countdown clock is for as I stopped when I was getting attacked by enemies offscreen during a transition. A bit of tuning and this could be great tho!

Terrible. This Resident Evil ripoff doesn't even come close to hitting the mark. Found plenty of ammo for the nailgun, however found only one med kit. The worst part about this game is the timer. With such limiter healing resources and a short timer, this game seems impossible to finish. Rating: 2/10
