General Info:

Spectral Synergy : Realms Entwined (SSRE) is formerly a Dungeon Crawler Jam 2023 contestant.

This steam release is reflective of the time spent thus far improving the game, as opposed to the 7 day window in which it was initially made.  This steam release ships with an integrated development kit.

Features:

Procedurally generated dungeon levels, with a variety of biomes and monsters.

• This is done in a 'traditional roguelike' manner, generating an ASCII map
• An additional system translates these maps into 3d geometry and entities
• Additional elements placed in a 'greebling' pass

Procedurally generated items, with character equipment system. 

• Items range from hats to potions, great care has been taken to ensure that item generation rules are as loose as possible. Items can affect almost any stat, which may or may not be beneficial. Potions confer a permanent malus or bonus. 
• On reaching the blacksmith, you may combine items for a fee. There are no restrictions with this system. You may for instance combine a sword with a potion and then drink the result to gain a permanent attack bonus. 

Hybrid 3D Active Time Battle Combat.

• The combat system is largely deterministic, with the exception of critical results. 
• Combatant statistics are very important and weigh heavily on the outcome of battles. 
• The order of turns or actions is determined by a race, every lap of the race grants a turn. 

• Status effects occur during the race and not per turn, some abilities can confer a bonus for the next turn. 
• Modular ability / spell system, largely inspired by morrowind.

• Brand new, professionally made soundtrack for each area, combat and special scenes.
