About Babel of Ystilia
Babel of Ystilia combines tactical, turn-based gameplay of traditional roguelikes with fast-paced, minimalistic and intuitive combat where your movement and turn timings are the key to getting out of fights unscathed. Learn enemy patterns to outsmart them, loot equipment to create powerful synergies and slay the god to save the world of Ystilia from divine lunacy.
Every enemy is a micro puzzle
Every enemy has a predictable behavior that feels like a micro puzzle. Learn their patterns and you will always be able to beat them with any weapon and without taking any damage.Play at your own pace
This game is completely turn-based, but it can feel quite fast due to the minimalistic nature of the combat system and the absence of turn delays. Speed up in simple rooms and slow down when you are surrounded by a crowd of enemies to carefully think about your plan.Create your own item combinations
Your inventory is limited so make the most of it because every item matters. Become a thunder warlock, chicken summoner, ballista engineer or a poisonous assassin. Play however you want and try out new item combinations every run! What Steam players say

Snappy, fair, and surprisingly deep. Feels like Binding of Isaac wandered into a classic grid roguelike - clear enemy patterns, mistakes are on you, but, unlike Isaac, this game gives you room to breath. The artstyle is clean and charming. Interesting item mechanics and abilities stack into clever synergies without getting fiddly. For such a small price this is an easy recommend.2 found this helpful
Fun game, lots of interesting enemy variety and most of the equipment you can find feels unique enough to use that it's not too repetitive. Absolutely insane in the best way at times as well, often ends up feeling like you're playing a turn-based bullet hell as weird as that might sound. I don't tend to write reviews on here much, but given how few there are for this game I figured I should write something, great fun and more than worth its small price tag.1 found this helpful
No reviews? This is a pretty good classic roguelike. I just wish there was a way to see what items do before buying them.
nobody reads positive reviews so I can say whatever I want: uhhh, poo?
Quite a fun tactical traditional roguelike. Very charming graphics, and very tight challenges. Feels exceptionally brutal at first, but once you internalize some of the enemy move sets, each combat encounter becomes a nice puzzle to unwind. Plays great on the steam deck!
good fun! difficult but rewarding!
