Spiritoke is hard, you will die. Especially in the beginning learning how monsters attack and the range they can hit you from will make a huge difference. After 2 hours I got my first 3 party members and fights get drastically easier once you level the abilities and pick up some passives. it doesn't really guide you in any directions so literally interact with everyone and everything you can. I really enjoyed my time with the game so far, once you get past the initial hill it really does have some interesting gameplay. also haven't encountered any game breaking bugs yet so thats always a plus.

Great concept...someone more competent will do it better. Feels like it was released before he finished working the UI and mechanics. Only played about 35 minutes probably going to return, just not fun very cumbersome UI. The combat is not explained and just feels bad, take a step hit enemy for 3 damage, enemy hits you for 60...you die. took me 6 restarts before i even killed 1 enemy, not sure if it was purposely made to die so much in the beginning or if I missed some hidden feature. Wanted to like it, love rogues and this seemed very fresh but poorly executed. My thoughts now are stay away until someone makes a better turn based rogue.

A unique take on the roguelike genre with a heavy JRPG influence. The combat is much deeper than it may appear at first glance, positioning and SP management are very important. It may seem overwhelming at first but dying is very much an important part of the game. With each death you can use your gold gained to buy permanent upgrades which allow you to push further. I look forward to seeing what the developer is cooking up next.
