About Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory
A cube of sugar escapes from factories to avoid the fate of becoming a cookie!
Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory is a 2D platformer game that presents the story of a sugar cube. The background tiles of the game have two sides, namely, the front and the back. These tiles can be flipped for access to critical hints to solve different levels. They may or may not help you, so pay attention!
The game is the full version of IGF China 2010's winner, Sugar Cube. It includes 5 factory themes containing 90 levels and 2 endings. Also included is the full soundtrack of the game.
Note: Soundtrack will be located at -> Steam -> Steamapps -> Common -> Sugar Cube Bittersweet Factory -> Soundtrack
Platformer where you flip tiles in the background revealing platforms and such. You can prevent flipping by pressing button on controller. The problem is you can't tell where some platforms are until you flip tiles. You can't jump on enemies or you die. Game have this shovelware feel from your worst nightmares so make sure not to eat those sugar cubes.
6 found this helpful
I think you should absolutely avoid purchasing this game. This game's been lying in my library for I don't know how long. So, I loved the theme and concept. It immediately crashed on launch and there's no way , it can run on modern operating systems urging me to send an error report to probably dead studios that are never gonna release the patch for it. Neither can I have it refunded.5 found this helpful
This just isn't a very good 2D platformer. The gameplay hook of flipping tiles as you pass through them or near them isn't very intuitive or fun. The sound effects are grating and the overall presentation makes this feel very much like a game from 1995 rather than 2012, or a student project made for an assignment rather than an audience. For better 2D puzzle platforming or just regular platforming, I recommend Fez, Mosa Lina, Abe's Oddysee, Abe's Exodus, Offspring Fling!, Blitz Breaker, Celeste, Decline's Drops, Splasher, or any number of excellent Nintendo platformers.1 found this helpful
does not even start lol
It's alright.
This game doesn't work properly anymore, it keeps on crashing. Unplayable. My rating 0/10, not recommended.
