Fire up the oven, plow the land, tap some maple, and revive the land around your own sugar shack. Improve the establishment’s reputation by welcoming customers, selling produce, baking home-made products and helping to create a sense of community all around you. Bring life and happiness to a new, magical world - on your own or together with friends!
- That's right, the entire map can be customized. That means you can choose the position of your neighbors, resources, and even how the rivers flow!
- You can decorate your map by creating your own hiking path, placing fences, and adding chests according to your whims.
- Each new hexagonal tile brings you plenty of things to do! Unlocking new quests, resources, and opportunities. No two worlds are going to be the same, so experiment endlessly!
- Steeped in Quebec's rich folklore, Sugar Shack is all about progressing at your own pace and in relaxing, cozy experience.
- Head out to harvest maple sap, pick berries, or tend to the garden. Or, stay inside, cook away, and focus on meeting the locals to help them out with their quests.
- Maybe try your hand at world building by customizing tiles, placing items around the world, and customizing your own space!
- Join 1-4 friends to lay out the world, gather resources, split the effort, and share in the rewards. Design a personal room to showcase your cozy style.

Plodding in the worst way possible. Inventory does not exist; you can only hold one item at a time and have to rely on a carryable basket to get anything done efficiently. Speaking of efficient, nothing in this game is efficient. Crafting anything requires a metric ton of items that take forever to chop or mine, cooking is incredibly slow, there are far too many steps for basic tasks at the start of the game, and to top it off, the in-game clock is already strict on what can be done at what time. Restaurant management ends at 6 no matter what. In between cooking a meal? Tough; you just wasted ingredients that are already hard enough to come by. Finally, finally got to a point where you can upgrade your equipment...for a measly 5 copper bars and $1000. Quit the game right there. The only saving grace is the ability to rearrange the map to your liking, which you can only do the night before. Do not recommend for even the thirstiest of farming sim enthusiasts.7 found this helpful
I am a French Canadian and I really like the vibe of this game, but I can't recommend it since I encountered a bug that make the game unplayable for me after 16 Days (in-game). This game is out of early access, there should not be game breaking bugs anymore! I got a bug that my harbour stalls are stuck in the lighthouse and I can't use them anymore. I tried to restart my game, change the harbour tile placement, repair my game files Nothing work! The review will stay negative as long as the game is not fixed.6 found this helpful
game has great graphics cute and adorable but no good tutorial. dont know what to do or actually very complicated alot of things to do very detailed which is causing me a headache!...sorry not for me3 found this helpful
This game is cute but insanely riddled with bugs still. For some reason my daughter's game forever says follow someone to your shack. Which would be to open it although we already did this and now it's the same step back. However she just chills outside her house and now our game will never progress.2 found this helpful
The game is okay. Progression doesn't make much sense at times, but the tiling and snow mechanics are fun to play around with. The inventory system is a bit annoying, but the game is overall fun enough to keep you entertained for a couple dozen hours. The overcooked style restaurant management is a bit clumsy.
