I'm enjoying the game so far. The puzzles aren't too long, so if you fail it's not a huge deal. I appreciate the little signals that a level has a second exit you can get to. I don't think I'm going to be 100%ing this one though. Edit: the firewall world genuinely made me consider making my review negative instead because of how awful it feels to control in it.
cute lil game
Lively 2D platformer with a cute story and stimulating visuals. Pros: - Excellent level design and tight controls - Fun abilities that mix to give levels more depth - Pleasant soundtrack to bob to - Neat accessibility options goes a long way for some people - Story is lighthearted entertainment at its best Cons: - Bosses are extremely simple, I only enjoyed a single one - The blue cartridge ability sucks and was frustrating me at some points - Clearly inspired by others in the genre but doesn't iterate upon anything - Glitchy visuals caused disorientation at times, especially flames - Limited visibility made it trial-and-error when you couldn't see your next obstacle clearly
Gets a slow start, but builds into a shorter, less polished Celeste. A very unique aesthetic and it knows it and leans into it, but some of the references might be hard to get without a programming background. The things I wish were more polished: 1. In the advanced levels, the control stick is frustrating because it doesn't snap to a direction. For example midair dashing exactly horizontally through dangers above and below might kill you for being a couple of degrees off. You can use the d-pad to get an exact direction, but the game chains together moves that you'll want the control stick for, and swapping mid-movement isn't fun. 2. There are a lot of casual difficulty levels and a lot of absolutely insane difficulty levels but not much between, so it can sometimes feel like you missed some intermediate levels to train you on an advanced practice that suddenly becomes required to have mastered. (Or if there is such training, the game doesn't guide you to it well enough--after beating the base game, the map forks off from so many locations it's unclear which ones to do.) 3. You unlock four core abilities (think dash, grapple, etc.) but you don't have them equipped at once; you …
Excellent platformer with cool mechanics and so many creative levels! I loved all of the AHA moments and the general vibe is so good.
I really love that Game! <3 The grafics are wonderful and fit perfectly. Also the levels are for everyone from easy to pretty damn hard (as how i feel). Thats why I love the feature that u can give ur self 9999 lifes just to run through the levels without getting frustrated because you were to stupid. If you get what I mean. Also I love the break with the glitch that it knows its programmed. The poor glitch... For the developer; I hope you will continue making such great little or bigger games and I hope you continue to have fun with making such! <3
