About Super Blasting Boy
Super Blasting Boy is a logical platform platformer made in the best traditions of retro games of the late 80's and 90's. The player will have to solve difficult puzzles and look for not obvious ways to overcome obstacles, as well as blow up the enemies from the rocket launcher and the gamma gun that hinder the process. You will not be able to pass the level from the first time - you will often die and start over again until you find the right path and learn the level to follow through on your way to the portal. Passage of the game is based on experience and mistakes, so be prepared for the fact that the game will burn your chair!

I liked this game, nice atmospheric music, good idea, gloomy vibe. The game is a bit hardcore, so be careful with your nervs ;) Recommend this game!21 found this helpful
Super Blasting Boy, developed and published by BekkerDev Studio, is a retro-styled 2D platformer that blends puzzle-solving with shooting mechanics, creating an experience that feels intentionally rooted in older game design philosophies. It presents itself as a challenging, no-frills title where progress is earned through persistence and careful observation rather than guided progression or modern conveniences. From the moment the game begins, it becomes clear that it is built for players who enjoy overcoming difficulty through repetition and gradual mastery. The gameplay centers on navigating compact but hazard-filled levels while using a limited set of tools to overcome obstacles and enemies. The protagonist is equipped with weapons that serve both offensive and utility purposes, allowing players to clear paths, trigger mechanisms, or deal with threats. Movement is simple and responsive, but the environments are designed to demand precision, requiring players to carefully plan each step. Levels are structured in a way that encourages experimentation, as the correct path or solution is often not immediately obvious. This combination of platforming and puzzle elements gives the g…3 found this helpful
There’s anger, there’s betrayal, and there’s this game. Coming from an indie era where some developers would try to imitate the precision and challenges from games like Super Meat Boy but without the polish, Super Blasting Boy suffers horrendously from 2 main issues. The first one is the punishing level design that doesn’t test your skills at times as much as it can become more of a trial and error. In some levels it’s annoyingly easy to screw yourself from finishing it due to something you couldn’t notice before a checkpoint or a breakable platform that never came back. In the latter ones in particular this can easily erase minutes (or hours) of progress. The second issue is how stiff the boy is to control. The jump is unbelievably heavy, making the wall jumps that much harder to implement, more so since they require you to point to the wall with the direction pad fully until the jump has been properly executed. Furthermore, the camera moves around too much, more so with the way you can aim your weapon or some enemies can shake the environment with a blast. Needless to say, this works against the precision the game requires from you. I can’t see myself recommending this t…
I did remap the controls to Xbox Controller. It did not help. The controls are very limited. E.g. wall jump feels like randomly stuck. Movement is slow. It just does not feel comfortable/ intuitive. Definitely not fun. Pitty. I like the graphics.
blasting boy look'a me go
No, just no. Very Slippery when controlling, song doesn't fit (but the music is pretty nice) the levels aren't balanced. That's all i'm going to say from playing this game 0.2 hours
