Players appreciate this game's charming puzzle-solving design, cute aesthetic, and engaging story with hidden lore, praising the well-balanced difficulty that encourages exploration and discovery. However, many find the combat system tedious and pointless after early upgrades, with some hitting frustrating difficulty spikes in specific puzzles that make progression feel arbitrary rather than fair.
I really wanted to like this game. I love time loop puzzles, and had just finished playing Chronoquartz (fantastic cute little game!) and was itching for another. I played the demo of this and it hooked me enough with it's premise to buy the full version. Early the game is pleasant enough. The combat is simple but amusing, and you're given upgrades and items, and quickly learn there's more to the world than meets the eye. It's exciting to start to look for hidden paths, learn quicker routes, and solve hidden world problems. The issue is that the core of the game rapidly becomes extremely tedious. The combat, simple at first, quickly shifts into useless tedium. After getting a few upgrades, the combat is meaningless and I found myself avoiding enemies instead of killing them because then I'd have to sit there and sit through a pointless upgrade screen which just took even more time away from letting me progress to what I wanted to actually do which was solve the puzzle I was on. If the combat is meaningless and trivial after a point why is it even there? Each screen simply acted as a time gate against what I wanted to do. Now I'm no rookie when it comes to …6 found this helpful
The game was fine, the puzzles were pretty difficult at times. (For better or worse) Sometimes the solution was dumb or there was a language barrier getting in the way, so I do want to give this game a lot of grace, but outside of a small few, I felt like they were well thought out. The story was not bad either. I felt like it did a good job at trying to stick to it's meta-narrative while it was trying to develop the in-world story considering this is still a small indie game. The biggest reason why I can't recommend the game is the music. The game was already crossing the line between being too repetitive, having an unsatisfying ending, confusing puzzles and having a creative game mechanic, an interesting story, and a clean movement, but the AI generated music just ruined it for me. Not only was it pretty bad before I knew it was AI, (which I would've taken if it wasn't) but seeing that made me realize this game is not worth the support, and any more attention than I've already given it. AI generation should never be used for artwork, music production, or anything of the sort. The ability to create art, videos, and games is an incredible thing. A heart-warming puzzle game disguised as a roguelike.1 found this helpful
was ok until the glasses puzzle, then it just started to not make any sense, so im just dropping it
Ok this game is fun. The puzzle elements are just hard enough you can probably figure it out without help, but they are on that weird borderline of conveing information through "complex" pictures. The combat is completely tedious - doesn't need to be here honestly - same with the "roguelite" element. The story is fun as well. Great game, I got the main ending in about 6h - can probs 100% in about 4-8 if you're smarter than me
I just loved it.
