Tackle Box: The First Catch is a really stupid idea in the best possible way. I play as John Tacklebox, a grumpy fisherman who enters a fishing competition, except the fish are not interested in being caught quietly. Every catch turns into a fight, so instead of just reeling fish in, I end up punching them, blocking their attacks, dodging them and smashing them around with my fishing rod. I honestly like how quickly the game gets to the point because there is not much filler. I fish, the fish gets angry, and then I have to beat it up. The fighting is probably what surprised me most. The controls are simple, with basic punches, dodges, blocks and heavier attacks, but there is enough timing involved that I cannot completely switch my brain off. Different boss fish have their own attacks and patterns, so I have to pay attention instead of treating every fight exactly the same way. I also like how ridiculous the whole thing looks. Watching a fisherman get into a proper boxing match with a fish is funny by itself, but the game actually makes the combat work instead of relying entirely on the joke. Better than pubg

This game reminds me of old days when my dad and I were fishing. There was a specific day that one of the fish came up and boxed with my dad. It was an epic battle. It lasted 3 days, and in the end, we ate the fish. It was yummy. 10/10
