About Temporal Storm X: Hyperspace Dream
Do you love the feeling of retro shoot-em up arcade style games? Do you remember arcade classics like Tempest, Beam rider and Gyruss? and most importantly, do you love Sci-Fi? If the answer to any of those questions is yes then Temporal Storm X is the game made just for you.
Temporal Storm X - Hyperspace Dream hearkens back to the days of retro arcade gaming we loved in the 1980's. It's slick neon style and pumping retro futuristic soundtrack bring the classic 1980's to the current day. TS-HD-X is the non-vr version of this game, specifically re-balanced for a more traditional game play experience.

Game-play is based around high pressure, ever increasing waves of enemies, missiles, plasma bolts, lasers and bombs sent down warp tunnels who's geometry gets more and more complex as the game progresses. You only get one life to make it through the temporal storm, so this is no game for those of low skill. The core design is built around a combination of button mashing and timed bomb bursts to get the most out of your score and to not only defeat the storm but to be the best at doing it.
Can you make it to the Top 10 in the world?

I'm playing this game for the first time in 2021. So, things have changed a bit since the game came out and since most reviews have been posted so far. They must have quietly updated the game without changing the description because now, when you load the game, you can reassign the controls to any keyboard keys you like. You can also use mouse buttons as well. So, that issue that many people have had with the game is fixed. It's still a smooth playing game that works great on my Windows 8.1 64 bit PC with a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti video card and 8 MB of RAM. It's a blast to play and it's like if the guys who made Gyruss decided upgrade the graphics, add powerups and ramp up the difficulty more gradually than they did in the arcade version back in the day. The only negative I have about the game is that there are times when the pretty graphics get a bit too busy and complicated, making it a little hard to see your targets coming at you. This is especially the case when a huge ship flies in behind the grid that you are flying along. These ships look very cool, but there's almost too much detail now which makes things flying in front of the difficult to see since every ship I'…4 found this helpful

Created a steam account just to buy this game. Love it.. and the World ranking system is going to make for some great competition. The game play is very addictive. The music and sound effects are great. and the graphics are awesome. Its a smashup of old school retro gaming with a modern flashy polish! Great work... Hah current world ranking is #6. Better watch out #1 I'm coming for you!3 found this helpful
Excellent retro action with modern bling and a pounding soundtrack. It's Gyruss for the modern age, but with less JS Bach. The game doesn't have controller support (yet) but works well with a keyboard.2 found this helpful
Temporal Storm X: Hyperspace Dream is a Unity based endless runner/QTE style game where you move along a set pathway and can bump yourself left or right to avoid obstacles etc. I think it's worth mentioning that Crystalmesh didn't just pump out a Unity asset flip here, they put in a bit of effort to add decent graphics and sound to a basic game format. Having written over 4,000 game reviews now, usually the first thing that makes a game unrecommendable is poor quality presentation, but here, it's okay. It's also a complete waste, the game itself is a bare bones mobile tier endless runner, you can play that kind of garbage for free. It's 2021, and Pacman isn't leading the game charts anymore because the gaming industry has moved on from simple game concepts. It's a shame Crystalmesh wasted a lot of hard effort doing a makeover for a dead pig. I hope the talented guys behind the graphics and artwork move on to a game development project where they make an actual game.
