Terfenstein 3D

Politics aside, it is a terrible game. Absolutely lazy, uninspired Wolfenstein/Doom clone. There is nothing redeemable about this game unless you are genuinely OBSESSED with the politics. In terms of pure game mechanics, experience, etc. it is completely derivative and redundant. Go play Doom. Don't play this sleepy ripoff trash that was designed to shoe-horn the developers politics. The gameplay amounts to "KILL CIS WOMEN!!!!! (because they're Nazis... duh!)". The 'Nazi' aspect was likely added AFTER the fact so that the game isn't just you killing white cis blonde women repeatedly. They're Nazis, so it's okay, right...? Don't waste your time or money. I'm refunding this trash.

For a cheap af indie game yeah this was hella fun. I've never played the OG Wolfenstein so I'm cautious about making some criticisms as they might just be direct things from the original. That being said having ESC on the pause menu quit the game caused me to restart SEVERAL times and it was frustrating as hell. Honestly my biggest critique of it was the satire didn't go enough. It mostly just looked like a Wolfenstein reskin and that was it? There was much more that could have been put in; turn the dog enemies into grotesque Glinner Cronenbergs, a Mecha-JKR as a final boss ect. Either way for something that's only a couple of quid it was a fun romp and now I desperately want to do a Markiplier and make a whole indie film based on this.

A charming little time waster, many things I like about it. It's cheap, which is good, this game knows what it is (A revenge fantasy for transgender women wrapped up in an homage to Wolfenstein 3D). Sadly the game's four month development cycle shows, but it's still fun to blast things. The ketchup gore is really well done and the soundtrack is nice. The shotgun is very fun to use! Wouldn't be a boomer shooter without a fun shotgun. My only complaint is the lack of a save feature, which has been requested, but the dev has stated she wishes to focus on future projects rather than revisit an old one which is fine I suppose. Do I recommend this over other boomer shooters? Not really. Is it worth checking out for a laugh, yes, especially if you like Wolfenstein 3D.
