Beyond Citadel

A game that's basically a "Best of" compilation for the FPS genre. The game starts off as a hard as nails tactical shooter and then eventually grows into one of the best and most expressive movement shooters ever. The selection of weapons is also jaw dropping, everything hits hard and nothing feels redundant. I almost wish some of the weirder fetishy type stuff in the game was toned down a little bit, but only so this amazing game could reach a wider audience. I don't know if the Venn diagram for hardcore FPS gamers and ero guro/sibling fetish enjoyers has a ton of overlap. If that does sound like a deal breaker for you, know a lot of that stuff can be ignored and is more world decoration than something constantly referenced. If you are a professional gooner and enjoyer of ball crushingly difficult FPS games you should buy this immediately !

A must play for FPS fans. yeah it's crass and gross, but that's part of its unique personality. The gunplay is stellar, and the wolfenstein-inspired labyrinths are great to look at and fun to play. it's a top tier boomer shooter that's like nothing else out there. my only complaint that it chugs pretty bad on steamdeck but it was mostly playable.

Beyond ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, but also beyond fun. I really, really hope for a third game in the series. Without spoiling any of the story, because it is genuinely interesting: The game does not shy away from the gore and really, really unnerving screams, choked gasp and final cries from the *many* little anime girls youre butchering, horrible, horrible endings for pretty much everyone you meet and some familiar themes that are very...touchy for many, the game itself is insanely fun being a mix of new age and old school shooters. Dont do yourself a disservice and make sure to enable manual handling for guns and weapon condition. I did not know how much I wanted a game that let me pump my own shotgun or ♥♥♥♥ the hammer on a magnum until I played this.
