About The 7th Circle - Endless Nightmare

The 7th Circle - Endless Nightmare is a First Person Dungeon Crawler RPG for hardcore gamers. Inspired by classic games from the 90s, the game adds new juicy features to modernize a classic genre of role playing games.
The 7th Circle - Endless Nightmare is a journey into your subconscious; each character, each Alter Ego, represents a different personality, but they are all sharing the same goal: to discover what is hidden in the darkest part of your mind and free it from its demons.
The blood slowly flows down from your wrists. You're about to faint...you are finally going to die, you know it. The blade falls from your hand. You hit the floor in a puddle of blood.
You are dying. And this is just the beginning of your journey.

The game has a dark and creepy tone with a good amount of violence and gore. The gameplay isn't set in a specific time period, but the setting is more like a mix of different elements, some from the past (like old weapons or the dungeons themself) and some from a more modern era (like tv screens), while all the cutscenes are clearly set in the present.

A hidden gem. A lot of very interesting and unique mechanics. The main problem with the game is the rogue-lite elements: they seem foreign to the dungeon crawler concept (especially since all the levels are hand-crafted and not random). There's a little catch here: the rogue-lite thing seems to be there just to sweeten the permadeath pill a bit; there's no evident problem in beating the game in one go. The story is captivating so far, the enemies look great. The skill leveling system is very satisfying. And based on the entries in the compendium, the game is huuuuge. 6 hours in, and I think it's like 10 % or something. On the current sale of 90 % off it's basically a steal.3 found this helpful
The 7th Circle - Endless Nightmare is a dark and challenging dungeon-crawling RPG developed by 68k Studios and published by Gamera Interactive. Built as a tribute to classic first-person dungeon crawlers, the game embraces many of the genre’s traditional mechanics while incorporating modern roguelite progression systems and psychological storytelling. Rather than focusing on cinematic presentation or fast-paced action, it delivers a methodical and demanding experience aimed at players who enjoy deep character building, strategic combat, and relentless exploration. The game's narrative takes place within a twisted subconscious realm where the protagonist confronts manifestations of their own mind. Following a traumatic event that blurs the line between life and death, players enter a surreal nightmare populated by various Alter Egos that represent different fragments of the character's personality. This psychological framework gives the adventure a unique identity, transforming what could have been a straightforward dungeon crawler into a darker journey of self-discovery and survival. The mature themes and unsettling atmosphere help maintain a sense of mystery throughout the entire…1 found this helpful
Every action or things you make will make a loading screen appear, bethesda would be proud
This is great. Read the manual.
was a good play through that I got really tired of the repetitive fight patterns, items didn't feel significantly different in the influence of combats. It was immersive and fun for the first 10 hours. I didn't like how chopped the gameplay is in exploration and the five second loading time for pulling up stats and other tabs...monster design and art is cool though. I recommend this on sale.
I *want* to recommend this, but doing so is hard. The combat is very shallow. (Walk up. Click attack. Defend on last turn. Repeat.) And the exploration wears out quickly as well. The only "puzzle" this game has to offer is "Find the switch to open the door.". There is a "minigame" of sorts, but it's a Mario Party style thing where moving across the board *is* the minigame. Which just opens another door once you finish it. Skill aquisition is also very grindy. Whatever weapon you pick at the start will be the one you always use. Some skills level on their own (Survivalism), but others need to be actively used. The latter of which means that if you don't regularly use them from the start, they end up being so useless as to have no point. (Blacksmithing.)
