The Allure Of Wanton Cove

Not many H scenes. I dislike this game where you do the same places over and over again in order to get some information and get a different ending. What a stupid game time stretch.

Genuinely the only bad thing about this game is that there aren't enough like this in the genre of what I'll call eldritch smut. The game is long enough to justify the price with good replay-ability to get different, hot scenes. It just sucks that once you've played through it a bunch, there's not enough other games to keep quenching that thirst.

I think we all know why most people would buy this game, and it isn't just because of the Lovecraft pastiche. Unfortunately, it's designed for you to play out the dev's own personal fetishes, which are quite niche. Was interesting for about an hour, before the mechanics became clear and I don't enjoy being perversely punished for playing a game, so I'm out. Nice art. No technical issues. Some typos and plenty of anachronisms, but otherwise a decently-written pulp story. A shame. Not recommended.

The game has cut content (New Game+ and another ending) respective to the original free itch.io version. Save your money and play the free one (not Redux one), cutting content should never be rewarded with money.

I had typed out a serious review, but unfortunately accidentally copied its steam page link instead of the review text when I went to double check for patch notes. I will not type it out again. TL;DR It's tragically unfinished. If Eldritch Sex Change Horsecock Transformation Horror Mysteries are something you can't live without, it's a decent story. Otherwise skip it. Edit: clarification

Overall I would say this is a pretty good Lovecraftian infused H game. The story is well written and interesting, and I found myself quickly committing to a playthrough. The art is good, the music and sound design are good, at times it can be appropriately creepy and overall I have enjoyed my time. There are a few cons I want to address. Sometimes art does not match the text, such as the main character being described as having brown hair but the portrait has white hair. Many events in the game seem to be heavily rng based. Like getting invited into Lady Anne's home to be able to ask her questions. Just keep going back and forth between areas and eventually you'll see her. There doesn't seem to be anything in particular that triggers it. Random encounters seem to be the only way to get money, not all encounters give money though, and it really doesn't give enough. I can't find out what certain traits even do, like security. And other points in the game do not give you any kind of check. One major event you get no check for is talking to Morichi about his family. He will only speak to you about it at all if you have an etiquette of 8. But he will not introduce you to his daughte…
