In its current state, i cannot recommend the game. Artistically, it looks good. But even as soon as starting a new game it begins feeling like a beta test. You choose from a bunch of warriors in distinct cool armor, no mention of the stats so you choose based on how they look, but once you get in game they all look like the same shirtless beef jerky man with the same gear. And while combat indeed "works", it feels floaty and there's not much feedback at all. I'll refrain from refunding as i really think this can be better, but right now it's really really bad. 3/1015 found this helpful
I was provided a review copy of the game and I can safely say that you should unfortunately save your money until this is fixed. I can look past a lot of things but the version that I have installed I can not level up my character at all and upon trying to increase my level by adding a point into a attribute the character level jumps to -48 and reduces all my stats. You are able to simply run away from enemies in most cases as they tend to stop chasing you after a few moments and was able to actually make it to the first boss without killing most enemies. Unable to level my stats, I had to attempt the first boss hitless but would get caught in wild animation arcs that made it very hard to learn patterns as anything would kill me in 1 hit. So then I figured I would buy a bow and 100 arrows using items I got from chests to get the equivalent of this game’s “souls” and bought it from the vendor in town. I was able to then use the ranged attack to stagger the boss using about 70 arrows and finally killed it. You can’t seem to sell gear or equipment and healing items are consumables that must either be bought or found and do not reset upon resting at bonfires, no big deal I just stopped…13 found this helpful
