Fun point and click adventure! Not too difficult and a great story!

Alright, had this in my backlog since it was released but I finally got in the mood to play it so here are my thoughts: I've been following the development of this game early on so I come in to this biased, appreciating the journey that the creator has gone through to make this game come true. I'll be as honest and objective as I can with that in mind. Gut reaction: it's good. At the below 10 dollar/euro price point I think for a 2-3 hour game this works out to a fair dollar to enjoyment ratio. No replayability once you finish it as is typical for graphic adventure games, so it's a one and done kind of experience. Graphics: outsider art with lots of effort. By that I mean the artwork has a certain beginner artist quality to it that would normally be a turn off, but the level of animation involved really heightens up what would otherwise be an amateurish looking game. Many item combinations get their own little focused animations and there's very little fade to black in general when interacting with the world. Alright p&c adventure with somewhat simple puzzles. Too much talking. The rain on windows is nicely done. (Not that it matters much, but I did notice.)

At a price tag of $7.99, I feel that it is pretty overpriced for what it offers. It is a bare bones experience with a very straightforward story with several easy puzzles that you can breeze through in a couple hours. It really needs more more depth to justify the price tag. If you can snag it for $2-3, I feel that would be a fair price for it. As is, its basically a point and click cut-scene since the puzzles are very easy to work through and not challenging. If there was more depth to the puzzles, maybe branching paths, multiple solutions that result in different item combinations, failed interactions that change the NPCs interactions and/or multiple endings depending upon your decisions and dialogue choices and trophies/achievements for different choices in game, I could get behind the price tag of almost $10. It's okay. It's fine. The art style is catchy, the voice acting is pretty good but there are too many things left lacking for a full thumbs up.
