“The Eminence in Shadow.”
Not the main character, and not the last boss. The one who lurks in the shadows of the storyline and holds all the power, hiding his true abilities by acting like a side character. The boy who longs to be a 'Shadowbroker' lives an unobtrusive life as a side character, training to gain magic power until he's killed in an accident and reincarnated into another world.
Reborn as Cid Kagenou, the boy decides to enjoy himself in this other world with a made-up scenario about "the Eminence in Shadow." He starts fooling around with secret maneuvers against an evil cult that he born from his imagination... and it turns out that the cult really does exist! The girls he took on as his subordinates on a whim began worshiping Cid as Shadow, and before he knows it, Cid has become a true "Eminence in Shadow." Before long, Cid—along with his mysterious group the Shadow Garden—will destroy the darkness of his new world.

Auto-battler with little depth. If you can't beat something, even with an elemental advantage, just get higher numbers. Have you gotten into the game despite the lack of gameplay depth? Better hope your account doesn't spontaneously delete itself.1 found this helpful
After the last update, my account is gone, little bit over a year's worth. I can't restore it either, since I didn't want to hand over even more of my data. The game itself was a standard anime gacha game, with lots of menus you have to learn to navigate at first. But interesting enough to stick with it, even as a f2p player.1 found this helpful
A pity this game deserves a negative review in the end, despite the things I love about it. If you like Eminence in Shadow in any form, be it the anime, LN, or Manga, you'll already have some idea of what to expect here. And it delivers on that. The story is genuinely fun, as always, Cid is a blast, tons of events with fairly probable storylines, the "Chronicles" which covers the story of the Seven Shadows and forming/growing Shadow Garden in more depth, and entirely original MAJOR plotlines like the Apocrypha storyline, focussing on the distant past where the Three Heroes faced Diablos. The amount of story content in here is actually pretty impressive, and I'll probably play the game for as long as it exists just to do any new event stories when they come out, honestly. Characterization is done just as one would like to expect too, ofcourse some of the tropes are a tad overdone at times, but in general, you can really get a good look into the personality of all of the Seven Shadows, their interactions, and the world lore feels pretty fleshed out. The game also gets some pretty cool collabs with their own event stories, if that is your thing. Fire Force, Shangri-La Frontier, Hats…1 found this helpful
