永夜神陨 (2026)

永夜神陨 is a surprisingly flashy online action RPG that I enjoyed mostly because of how quickly it gets me into the fighting. I play as a warrior serving under Xiang Yu during the Chu Han Contention, and the whole game has a very dramatic historical fantasy atmosphere. I liked the mixture of recognizable Chinese history with a much more exaggerated hack and slash style. The combat is built around moving through wilderness areas, defeating enemies and collecting rewards that I can bring back to the main city. I liked that I can either control the character manually or make use of automatic combat when I want a more relaxed experience. The manual option is definitely more engaging for me because being able to move and use skills myself makes the battles feel more active. The progression is centered around collecting better rewards and using them to improve my abilities. I enjoyed that there is always another reason to return to the battlefield because stronger equipment and upgrades gradually make my character more capable.
